The corners of Elisa's mouth twitched, but she didn't say anything. She walked to her chair and sat down before taking out her cell phone to continue scrolling Twitter.
Time passed slowly.
Jeremy didn't continue talking about it because Elisa had returned.
Vincent couldn't control himself and occasionally called Elisa a freak before keeping quiet.
Soon, it came to the time Elisa had said. Everyone was busy examining him.
They realized that the numbers were more ideal than the previous results, and Elisa could finally breathe a sigh of relief. She looked at Jeremy. "So… I'll leave Grandma in your hands tomorrow?"
Vincent naturally understood what she meant, and he nodded at once. "No problem."
"I'm leaving." Elisa didn't waste time on formalities. She was also slightly tired now. She held Gareth's car keys and didn't plan on returning them.
But it was late. Gareth said, "Give me the keys."
Elisa looked at him, perplexed. She gave him the keys and said nothing when she thought he might want to drive. She didn't mind getting an Uber.
As Elisa thought about it, she took out her cell phone and opened the app, wanting to hail a ride.
When Gareth saw it, he said in a low voice, "I didn't tell you to get a ride."
Elisa looked at him, confused. She didn't say anything.
Gareth disregarded her and said indifferently, "I'll send you."
Elisa's brows furrowed slightly. "No. You don't need to get too tired in your current situation."
After all, he was in poor health.
She didn't know about his condition previously, so she hadn't made concessions for him. But now, she was slightly apprehensive.
Gareth didn't say anything and walked out beside her.
