Chapter 1182 Loathful
"I beg you to let go of me! Please..." The lady's voice was clearer than the other two voices.
"Beg? Do you think begging us will help?" As he said this, the man suddenly let out a scornful laugh. "If you want to beg, you can try begging in other ways. Who knows? We might be gentler."
The man laughed scornfully again. The conversation heard from the other end of the call was loathful.
Jeremy's eyes turned even colder as he said in a deep voice, "Turn on your speaker."
The lady was frightened. Her only chance of survival depended on Jeremy. Now that she was at her wit's end, she could only follow Jeremy's request.
She hurriedly turned on the speaker. "It's on."
She could only weakly utter two words and didn't say anything after.
As the two men approached her, she felt a surge of panic and lifted her handphone. She shouted frantically, "The man on the phone has something to say to both of you!"
The two men's expressions became serious, "B*tch, how dare you call someone!"
One rushed over, intending to snatch her handphone away from her.
The lady's tears started streaming down in fear, and her face turned pale as she feared the speaker didn't work.
It wasn't that she didn't trust Jeremy. Instead, she feared knowing he couldn't directly pressure them since he wasn't there in person.
Or there could be a possibility that these two men were mere thugs that didn't know the power Jeremy holds. This thought made the lady panic in fear.
The lady started to back away with her handphone as she shouted to the man approaching her, "Don't come over..."
"Don't go over? I'm onto you today. We'll see how you'll find your savior." The man's voice was filled with contempt.
These two men had a decent background from Bayswe. Whenever they targeted someone, they made sure to check their target's background for any powerful connections.
As for this lady, they had observed her for a few days and knew from the start that she was an only child from an ordinary family background without any status or money power. It was a piece of cake to handle her.
They had been following her for two days, and to their surprise, she entered such a remote area to do something. They were impatient and decided to make a move on her nearby this area. Eventually, she was chased into this empty warehouse.
She became stranded inside, so it was easy to catch hold of her.
Moreover, they were not afraid that this lady would call the police as they threatened her a while ago. If she called the police, her parents would be in danger. She couldn't dare take the risk.
But Jeremy's cold and intimidating voice was already heard before the thugs could do anything. "Carl Lowen, have you been too bored?"
The atmosphere in the empty warehouse had immediately turned cold. The words sounded aloof, and yet they held such power. After Carl heard those words, his facial expression changed. Why is this voice so familiar?
"Who are you?"
At this moment, Carl was no longer hasty in punishing the lady. Fear trickled down his spine when he realized how familiar this voice sounded. He had heard this voice before, and the person even called out his name. How could it not make him panic?
The other thug's facial expression changed as this voice also sounded familiar to him. He could even guess who it was. He hurriedly walked to the front and held onto the hem of Carl's clothing as he whispered, "This voice could be..."
