Chapter 1985 A Visit
“There is so much food! Are you trying to turn me into a big fatso?” asked Elisa.
Gareth looked at her with a smile. “How could that be? No matter how much you eat, you won’t gain. weight.”
Elisa was stunned for three seconds.
Bella put down her fork and rubbed her arm, complaining. “I’m getting goosebumps.”
Gareth raised an eyebrow. “Really? Then you should eat less. Look at how much weight you’ve gained.”
Bella still didn’t want Julia to make the decision. “Grandma, look at how Gareth is talking about me. I won’t dare to eat anymore.”
Julia was overwhelmed with joy. Is this what they mean by family bliss?
After that, a housekeeper came to relay a message, saying that there was a young woman outside looking for Gareth and Julia.
Almost instantly, Elisa figured out who that person was.
She exchanged a glance with Bella, both tacitly choosing not to speak..
Julia asked, “Who is it?” I don’t recall having any dealings with the daughter of an affluent family in recent years. Additionally, it’s quite rude of her to visit at this hour. What could be so important that she needs to visit us during mealtime? Can’t we even eat in peace?
Julia directed her question at Gareth, who had a vague idea of who she was referring to. He glanced at Elisa, who was engrossed in eating her food, showing no particular expression.
However, Elisa didn’t seem as enthusiastic as before, which he a*sumed was because she was angry.
He said, “It’s like the woman from a minority ethnic group who helped out when we were rescuing Liz
before.”
Julia’s expression shifted when she heard it was Elisa’s savior.
However, both Elisa and Bella didn’t seem to be in good spirits.
As such, Julia had a feeling about what was going on.
Moreover, regardless of the circumstances, showing up uninvited at mealtime was a matter of a lack of basic manners.
“Oh, so you haven’t made proper arrangements yet?” True to her superior status, Julia got to the heart of the matter in just a few words. Her final question commanded respect without her getting angry.
