No Chance of Remarriage Get Lost (Elisa) novel Chapter 2179

Vincent had once proclaimed in the industry that if there was even a one percent chance, he could transform that one percent into victory.

Facing Rachel's cold, stern gaze and the mocking smile playing on her lips, he remained unfazed. “I'll handle the repercussions from the Gardner family. Hand over this case to me, and I promise I won't bother you again.”

He uttered those words with profound sincerity.

As he spoke, his dark eyes lingered calmly on Rachel. At this moment, he felt a surge of impulse.

Nonetheless, he still managed to restrain himself.

If it were any other request, Rachel would have readily agreed to prevent further complications with him.

However, she knew that relinquishing the case she had assumed to Vincent would stain her reputation.

As such, she rejected him, saying, “Let's just forget about it.”

“So, are you implying that you prefer me to keep pestering you?” Upon hearing her response, Vincent's eyes lit up instantly.

Rachel was exasperated. “I don't even know how you interpreted that. I simply meant I couldn't hand this case over to you. As for your persistence, do you think it's a good look for a distinguished lawyer like you to be a bloody nuisance?”

Courtesy in words wasn't her concern, for these days, she lacked the patience even for cases.

Vincent raised an eyebrow, a tinge of surprise coloring his expression. “Are you saying that you want to expose me?”

“Do I really need to expose you when you won't stop bothering me?” Rachel curled her lips, too lazy to prolong the conversation with Vincent.

In the next moment, she swiftly tucked away the case file while gracefully lifting her handbag with her other hand.

The office was now at Vincent's disposal, and he could do as he pleased. She had no desire to continue engaging in pointless banter with him.
