Rachel was taken to a nearby hotel by Vincent.
She was truly traumatized by then. The moment he attempted to put her down, she cried out in fear, “No, don't leave me alone!”
Her voice trembled as she spoke.
When he saw her reaction, he couldn't bring himself to let go.
He sat by the bed, cradling Rachel on his lap and letting her lean her entire body against him.
Afraid of triggering her emotions, Vincent didn't dare say much.
Since she was scared, he continued to just hold her.
However, he was also worried about her emotional instability.
“Rachel, why don't you take a nap first?” Vincent suggested to Rachel in an attempt to probe her condition.
Worried that she might misunderstand, he quickly reassured her, “Rest easy, I'm not going anywhere. I'll be by your side all the time.”
“Mm-hmm.”
Rachel's tone remained unchanged. Her emotional dependence on him seemed like a great opportunity, but Vincent would rather not have it. All he wanted was for Rachel to be well.
He also knew that Rachel was very strong-willed. She would never talk to Elisa about something like that.
So, while he was patting Rachel's shoulder and comforting her, he took out his phone to send a text message.
Vincent: Bring me some sleeping pills.
Immediately after, he sent over his location.
At that moment, there was a need to help Rachel stabilize her emotions.
While waiting for the pills to be delivered, Vincent had already thought out all the subsequent arrangements.
In the end, he heard Rachel speaking slowly. “Vincent, you can't kill them. If you do, you'll be finished. Don't let those people ruin your entire life!”
As she spoke, Rachel tightly gripped Vincent's hand.
