Outside, Kaylee saw Gareth stepping out. He wore a grimace while she was ecstatic. The sight of their expressions created a stark contrast.
However, Gareth didn't even spare her a glance. He simply walked around her.
Just as Gareth was about to contact someone, Vincent called him.
He picked up the phone.
“Finally, you answered the phone! Rachel has obtained evidence against Kaylee, but did you know something happened to your grandma?” Vincent was very anxious.
“I know. I'm already reaching out to a specialist on my end.” Gareth spoke in a calm, detached tone. What Kaylee is doing may potentially harm lives. However, for the sake of Grandma, I have no choice but to accommodate Kaylee for now.
“That's good to know. I thought you were unaware. Let's deal with her first. To think they could harm an elder. Just how wicked is she?” When Vincent spoke of Kaylee, he gnashed his teeth in anger.
If it hadn't been for the fact that they were in a police station, he would have loved nothing more than to flay Kaylee.
“All right. I'll handle my business first.” After he finished speaking, Gareth hung up the phone.
Over at Vincent's end, after he hung up the phone, Rachel immediately looked at him. “Even if Gareth knows, he's still in Moranta, right? Did he mention when he's coming back to handle this matter?” If Gareth can't return to handle this, I'll deal with Kaylee myself. I'm not only doing this to avenge Elisa but also to settle my own score from the car accident.
“He didn't say, but he mentioned he has some matters to attend to first. He's already arranged for someone to handle it. As for this matter, let's not interfere for now. When we're needed, we'll step in immediately.” With that, Vincent pulled Rachel into his arms.
Rachel didn't show her usual disdain toward Vincent, but she still pushed him away immediately. She was still quite uncomfortable with such intimate contact.
