"Uncle Winslow, the only person who can fix this problem is the one who created it. I can handle it on my own. From my side, you'll have to wait for me for at most another week. If you can't wait, you can go ahead and explore other cities with Mr. North and Brie."
Elisa declined Winslow's help and even arranged the upcoming itinerary for him.
Winslow had returned to the country with Elisa to keep an eye on her. Now that she had decided to stay, how could he possibly leave her behind?
"Since you've made up your mind to stay, then go ahead and deal with your matters. Don't worry about me." Winslow pursed his lips and gave Elisa a curt nod.
Elisa nodded.
Elisa nodded. After Elisa left, Brie volunteered, "Mr. Knowles, how about I go and help Ms. Benett?"
"She didn't even plan on letting me intervene, so why should you? Can death really solve any problems?" Sensing Brie's intentions, Winslow scoffed dismissively.
Brie instantly lowered her head.
Winslow's words struck her inner thoughts.
Undeniably, she had indeed considered that if both Gareth and Will were to die, they would no longer pose any threat to Elisa.
Seeing Brie not responding, Winslow questioned coldly, "Do you think the Wickam family and the Darcey family will act as if nothing happened?"
His eyes were filled with a chilling light.
"Sorry, Mr. Knowles. I didn't think it through."
"Don't mention such thoughtless things in the future." Winslow spoke, his voice cold and detached.
"So, I shall arrange for you to..."
Brie pursed her lips, aware of her guilt. She slowly spoke, speculating Winslow's intentions.
