Elisa chuckled. “Anyone else would be embarrassed to say it out loud. Wait till you meet someone you like, Rachel.”
“Geez, love is so complicated. Look at the three of you! I think it’s better not to be involved. Isn’t it nice to be free? Why must we find someone to spend the rest of our lives with? I believe love is one of the most short-lived things!”
Elisa laughed. “Well, that’s not always the case. There are plenty of couples who loved each other throughout their lives. It’s just us who aren’t lucky enough to experience that.”
With that, her gaze fell on Sheena again.
“Don’t feel miserable, Sheena. Just follow your gut. We need such experiences to experience life differently.”
Looking pale, Sheena gave a bitter smile without replying.
Elisa lifted her head slightly and looked ahead.
“Though I regretted meeting Gareth, I don’t regret the effort I put into the relationship, and I don’t regret falling in love either.”
Rachel arched her eyebrow. “You didn’t regret pouring your love to someone, but you regret that the recipient was him. Am I right?”
Elisa smiled. “Yeah.”
Sheena’s gaze flickered, but she remained silent. Elisa held her hand again and said, “Just do it, and don’t overthink things.”
Sheena took a deep breath and nodded. “Alright. I’ll try.”
