Elisa couldn’t persuade her and could only help the old lady sit down.
The two sat together as they watched Gareth bustling around in the sea of flowers…
The smile in the corner of Julia’s mouth deepened. “I’m quite pleased with this.”
Gareth was stupefied.
He lowered his eyes, and a grim smile flickered across his face. Since Elisa wanted roses, heh… He would give her roses.
Just as Julia and Elisa were chatting and waiting, Gareth finally picked enough roses.
He wasn’t the one keeping count. It was Julia.
She would announce the amount after he picked ten roses.
Julia might be old, but her mind was still sharp. She was more clear-headed than any ordinary person.
Elisa wasn’t surprised that Gareth didn’t look tired at all.
This man had always remained calm. Moreover, even though he was busy every day, he would never miss a workout. He had an incredible physique, and picking these roses was nothing for him.
But Elisa didn’t want to tire him out as punishment. She wanted to humiliate him.
So what if he thought that he was above everyone else? He still had to personally pick roses here for the person he despised and hated the most.
The corners of Elisa’s lips curved slowly. Upon seeing Gareth’s cloudy face that was about to break into a storm, she couldn’t help but laugh lightly. “Thanks for picking the roses, Mr. Wickam.”
Gareth glanced at her coldly but didn’t say anything as he turned to leave.
Julia’s brows wrinkled. “You brat! What kind of attitude do you have? This is what you should be doing. You’re not allowed to have any complaints against Liz, do you understand?”
