Chapter 831
Elisa frowned lightly, then snickered.
Gareth is quite excellent at acting now. I could barely find anything suspicious about him.
Elisa did not voice out her thoughts. But Rachel seemed to have guessed them. She continued, "It was just Vincent and me that time. He need not put on an act, then. He could have continued working and pretended that nothing had happened. He wouldn't have made an effort to see you."
Elisa pursed her lips. She was reluctant to discuss this further. She merely spoke calmly. "It's all right. He can do whatever he wants. I do not want to partake in any of his business anymore. He shouldn't meddle with mine, either. He can do anything he wants as long as it isn't against our agreement."
There was nothing she feared at this moment. He could not blackmail here anymore. Moreover, she knew that Gareth would not do something like that. Although he was stubborn, he still kept to his principles.
She did not want to pay attention to this man. So she spoke calmly, "This matter has nothing to do with me. He will leave me soon anyway. Why don't you get some rest? I reckon that you hadn't gotten much rest either."
Rachel nodded immediately without any hesitation. "Great. Then I shall sleep for a while now."
Rachel stopped the conversation.
Elisa lied down. She did not want to care about Gareth any more.
Vincent, however, watched Gareth as he stood in the living room. His face was now more sullen.
Vincent walked towards Gareth's side and spoke softly, "Look, why are you reluctant to say out loud that you care for her? Do you know whom you look like now?"
Gareth's face darkened. He didn't say a word and wanted to leave, but he didn't go this time. He went to the sofa and sat down.
