No Chance of Remarriage Get Lost (Elisa) novel Chapter 991

Chapter 991 It Feels Good

Elisa bit her lips unknowingly as grief swallowed her whole.

Each time, the thought of her father would stir up waves of emotions. She always felt she owed everything to him.

Dad and I wouldn't be in this situation if I weren't obsessed with that useless romance! If I had kept an eye on Norman and his family, we wouldn't reach this point!

Meanwhile, the recording continued.

The look on Elisa's face cheered Linda up. Finally, it's time for her to be upset! She usually seems so unperturbed and serene, as though nothing could upset her. I can't even find her weakness! It's finally time to enjoy watching her suffer.

Linda took in a tiny breath, focusing on Elisa, so she didn't miss a thing.

"Elisa, I didn't want to leave this recording to you, but I'm worried you might be devastated if I didn't leave you anything. I'll leave this recording with your Uncle Norman. If the time is right, you'll get to hear it someday. I know you will doubt my death and suspect another cause for it. Remember that I'm not that healthy, to begin with. It's wishful thinking if I could live long. I haven't told you because I don't want you to worry. But in the end, I still can't…"

He was choked with sadness he could no longer hide.

"I just want you to live on happily. Don't overthink this and take any action. My only wish is for you to be my happy princess, as you always have."

It was an implicit reminder for her not to seek revenge on Norman.

Elisa's lips were pressed into a grim line. He was worried that Gareth might not pass this to me, so he left it with Norman, who could very well ignore it, but he somehow kept it and passed it to me on this day.

Meanwhile, Norman felt grateful he didn't delete the recording out of disdain back then. Yes! It's good I kept this with me all this while! It came in handy today.

Nonetheless, he was unaware Elisa had already heard the recording before, and she had already decided to go against her father's wishes.

"Elisa…" Rachel whispered and pulled her hand worriedly upon seeing how immobile she had been.

Elisa returned to her senses and smiled back at her, indicating she was okay.

Nevertheless, Rachel looked at her uncertainly, not entirely convinced.

Charli also shot an apprehensive glance at her.

On the other hand, Vincent merely glanced at Elisa before ignoring her.

"Elisa, it's a great regret of mine that I can't be with you anymore. Remember that you will always be my baby, and I will watch over you as you live a happy life. Promise me you will do that, okay?"

His love for his daughter oozed through his last few words with a tinge of worry and endless longing.

He tried to hide his desire to stay with her. All he wanted was for her to move on and have a great life, not give her more burden.

Norman pretended to be sorry for his brother, but he was watching Elisa anxiously.
