Lucas wore a branded high-end suit, leather shoes, and golden-framed glasses as he strode into the ward. "This must be it."
"Who…" Walter noticed the other party appeared neither rich nor poor. But ever since the Blakes' reputation fell, very few rich families were willing to contact them.
Lucas smiled and offered his hand. "You must be Mr. Blake Senior. I'm the vice president of Schneider Group in Sulford, Lucas Schneider."
"Schneider Group of Sulford?" Walter's eyes widened with surprise. Although he had never collaborated with the Schneiders, the Blakes and the Schneiders were at different levels.
Most importantly, there had been many rumors about the Schneiders spreading among people of the same industry.
Walter scrutinized Lucas and concluded that the man before him was the vice president who had previously been embroiled in scandals.
"Welcome, Mr. Schneider. To what do we owe the pleasure of your visit?" Despite having those thoughts, Walter still greeted Lucas politely.
Laughing, Lucas adjusted his glasses and admitted, "To tell you the truth, the place where Mr. Blake had the accident is where our abandoned factory is. Since this has caused quite an uproar, it's only right for me to check on things personally."
Walter liked Lucas' attitude. "Is that so? That's really kind of you, Mr. Schneider."
While the two were exchanging pleasantries, Julian grew unhappy. "Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Mr. Schneider. But aren't you Serena's boyfriend? Are you here to show me false sympathy?"
"How could you say things like that?" Walter smacked the back of Julian's head angrily.
