No Escape from Love novel Chapter 24

What gave Julian the right? All of us were free to love and date whoever we wanted to. Why did Julian get to act all high and mighty? Why did he get to judge and test others at will?

In the coffee shop, Kevin frowned as he glanced at the situation outside and then typed on his phone.

The prey had taken the bait.

"I've figured out that you're not the kind of woman who chases after riches."

Julian actually thought I had a change of heart when he heard my question. He was overjoyed as he said, "Serena, as long as you agree, I promise that I'll marry you right after graduation."

Julian slowly opened the ring box, revealing a perfectly cut diamond ring.

I contemplated my next move while my eyes kept darting toward Kevin, who was inside the coffee shop.

"Serena, marry me." Julian suddenly raised his voice. At the same time, I saw Kevin put down his phone and start to hurry over. It was as if he had finally received some sort of signal.

"Marry you? If I marry you, then what about Elena?" I raised my tone slightly as I asked.

Julian froze momentarily before he replied in a serious manner, "I'll make sure you live a carefree life."

I nearly laughed out loud at how shameless he was being. "So, what you're saying is, we should get married, but you and Elena will keep dating?"

"I…" Julian faltered under the strange looks he was receiving from the crowd. He almost lost his composure.

I scoffed and said, "Julian, are you really dreaming of having multiple wives in this day and age? What kind of backward thinking do you have?"

I thought he would get angry, but he merely raised his voice. "Serena!"
