No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 172

Donovan waved his arms and said, "Xenia, how could this be your fault? Frank and Lucas forced you to lie. It's their problem!"

Frank and Lucas felt wronged.

Lucas couldn't help but interject. "Donovan, it's my fault Noelle left. I hadn't been treating her well and pushed her around frequently. She left because she was hurt."

He slowly realized how unacceptable his behavior had been and wanted to make up to Noelle. Glancing at Noelle, he said, "It's my fault. I won't behave like that in the future."

Lucas swore on it! He didn't want to sever ties with Noelle. She was his only sister.

Upon hearing what Lucas had to say, she smirked mockingly and said, "A late apology doesn't suffice. Get out of my way. I want to leave!"

However, the guards at the door blocked her and didn't move an inch.

Donovan picked up a call. He said, "Noelle, you can't leave just yet. The Ministry of Education is sending people over to investigate your cheating behavior. You better play nice, if not even the Liddells won't be able to save you."

Noelle was confused. Hadn't they conducted their investigation already? Bruce told her to go home and wait for further updates? Why had they come again?

Something felt off.

Xenia was ecstatic to hear the news. She simpered, "Noelle, just own up to it. Perhaps they won't punish you as harshly if you do so."

Frank glared at her and said, "What are you going on about? Noelle didn't cheat!"

What was up with Xenia? Why was she slandering Noelle?

Xenia immediately said pitifully, "Frank, I'm doing so for Noelle's sake."

Dominic immediately stood up for her. He glared at Frank and said, "Xenia has done nothing wrong. You've been pampering Noelle too much. This is the result."
