No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 177

When Donovan heard Noelle talking back to him, he felt like she was challenging his authority. He couldn't help but interject, "Noelle, this is a family matter. How could you handle it like that?"

Xenia's father had even saved Noelle's life! Had she forgotten all about that?

The investigator couldn't take it. "Mr. Liddell, you're showing favorites. The one who cheated was Xenia. What does this have to do with Noelle?"

"Yeah, she's the state valedictorian. How would she cheat? She's already the first."

"Usually, those who cheat are those who get bad grades. Even if they had good grades, they definitely wouldn't be able to cheat a valedictorian. You couldn't get here by copying."

Donovan was rendered speechless. There was an unnatural expression on his face. He was finding it difficult to contend with the truth. Why had Xenia become the cheater?

Donovan replied insistently, "But Xenia has always been obedient and mature. Noelle was the one who was reported first. Have you investigated her thoroughly?"

He didn't believe that she would be able to get state valedictorian no matter how much she improved. It was too much of a stretch?

"We've heard about the investigation. Her grades are completely fine."

"I've got to say, Mr. Liddell, you guys are a weird family. Instead of pampering the valedictorian, you hope that she cheated. What kind of thought process goes behind this?"

"Yeah. instead of protecting your valedictorian sister, you sided with the stupid, lying girl. I really don't understand the world of the rich."

Donovan was so angry he couldn't formulate a response.

He glared at Noelle in disbelief. He hadn't expected her grades to improve so drastically. They even stood up in the investigation! However, he'd never seen Noelle demonstrate this sort of potential when they were kids!

Noelle turned to Xenia, who was curled up on the ground. "Stop pretending to be innocent. Just admit that you cheated. After all, the evidence is right here. Perhaps you can even plead for them to reduce our sentencing?"

After getting hit, Noelle lost her composure and fought back against Noelle. However, Noelle wiped the floor with Xenia, who kept herself skinny. They weren't even in the same weight class.

In that moment, Noelle avenged herself for all past and present wrongdoings.

When they started fighting, everyone in the room was slow to react.

Frank was the first to speak. "Donovan, why are you standing there watching them? Stop them."

Donovan finally came to his senses. He pulled Noelle back and said, "Stop this right now."

Noelle didn't budge.

Donovan put Noelle into a fireman's carry. She bit his wrist till the metallic taste of blood spread through her mouth. Only then did she let go.
