"For me, you're all the same," Noelle said coldly. "I've made myself clear: from now on, we'll pretend we don't know each other."
Frank stopped Lucas. "Let's go back. Noelle's upset right now. Don't push her too hard."
Noelle watched the Liddells leave and thought back to her past life when Frank had also attended this same investment summit. Back then, Frank had shone at the event using the artificial intelligence system she developed.
Xenia had sweet-talked her way into Frank's circle, promoting herself as the star. Once again, Noelle had been forgotten, and no one knew that she was the real creator.
This time, Noelle wanted to see just how far Frank's company could go without her.
Soon after, the attendees of the investment summit started moving around to look at everyone's exhibits. When they reached Noelle's display, her artificial intelligence system amazed everyone.
One of the attendees asked, "Hey there, did you develop this yourself?"
Noelle nodded. "Yes."
"You're so talented at such a young age. Which university did you attend?"
Noelle paused briefly, then replied, "I haven't started university yet."
Someone from another company explained, "Ms. Liddell is the top scorer in Aldoria's college entrance exam this year and has been accepted into Yole University. She's truly exceptional."
"That's really impressive! You have a bright future ahead."
So many people gathered around to praise Noelle that the Liddells couldn't get close. Frank watched as Noelle was surrounded by admirers, feeling a little wistful. "Noelle has really grown up."
Lucas' expression was equally complex. "Frank, how did I never realize Noelle was this amazing?" he asked.
Noelle had a talent for gaming, topped the city's exams, and was now excelling at developing artificial intelligence. In comparison, Xenia was terrible at gaming, had a fragile ego, and had her exam results canceled due to cheating.
