No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 304

Noelle had deliberately left her computer there for Xenia to see. When Xenia understood what had happened, she slumped in her chair. Panic settled in as she realized she was doomed.

The situation had flipped quickly.

Noelle gave a half-smile. "I remember there's a rule in our event. If anyone engages in misleading promotion, unethical tactics or unfair competition, their qualification will be revoked."

It was then that Donovan realized he had been outplayed by Noelle. She had acted so convincingly earlier to trap him. No matter how hard he tried to explain, he couldn't clear his name.

He had come in full of confidence, determined to teach Noelle a lesson. When Xenia stole Noelle's impressive ideas, he was pleased. He used them to play it safe while also intending to give Noelle a harsh lesson.

If their actions were exposed, their company would lose its eligibility for the project. Donovan couldn't afford to lose.

He could let the project go, but he could never allow Noelle to defeat him.

Donovan turned to the official and said, "There's more to this story. I can explain."

"Mr. Liddell, please return to your seat. The presentations need to continue. We'll address your matter after the event," the event official replied.

With a look of frustration, Donovan reluctantly stepped down from the stage.

Noelle walked past him, carrying her laptop. She lightly remarked, "To the victor go the spoils. Thank you for demonstrating it firsthand."

Donovan's step faltered, and his face darkened. He shot a deadly glare at Xenia.

Xenia shrank back, drenched in cold sweat. She was trembling because she knew she was in deep trouble. Resentment burned in her eyes as she watched Noelle.
