No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 358

With the powerful Greene family's backing, offending them was unwise.

Xenia was so furious that she started crying. Why was no one helping her?

She refused to pick up the documents and let Noelle get the better of her—it felt worse than dying.

Justin tugged at her sleeve. "Mr. Rodrick knows my mom well. Show him a little respect."

Xenia reluctantly bent down to pick up the documents.

Noelle looked down at her from above, briefly glancing at Liam. It seemed power and influence really did hold weight.

This was all thanks to Alfred's connections with Liam.

Feeling wronged, Xenia grabbed the papers and handed them to Noelle. "Here."

Noelle took them and smirked at her—a look that almost drove Xenia to madness. Was she mocking her?

It was infuriating.

Noelle took the documents and walked out.

Xenia stood there, crying. "Donovan, Noelle is bullying me too much!"

Lucas responded sarcastically, "Wasn't it you who knocked the documents out of her hands in the first place?"

"But... I was doing it for her own good."

"For her own good? Was it necessary to knock the documents out of her hands for her good?"

Lucas' words left Xenia speechless. She lowered her head, feeling utterly wronged.

Donovan spoke up. "Alright, Lucas, stop defending Noelle. She didn't spare you earlier either."

Lucas smiled bitterly. "What's happened to me is well-deserved. Donovan, I just hope that you won't regret it when you see some people's true colors in the future."

With that, Lucas walked off.

Xenia shot a glance at Lucas. With him facing a lawsuit and his career ruined, he no longer held any value for her.

She didn't want to keep up with him. Maintaining a relationship now felt like beating a dead horse.
