No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 414

Noelle looked up at the pitch-black sky and faintly made out the silhouette of a helicopter as if it were a scene from a movie.

Cedric stepped off the helicopter with a stern expression and an unapproachable presence. Alfred followed right beside him. "We'll split into two groups."

When Noelle heard footsteps coming from upstairs, she was worried that they might not be the police and thus decided to head downstairs. But as she reached the stairway, she saw that a large number of people had already surrounded the area.

Cedric was at the front of the crowd. His eyes widened in an instant when he saw that Noelle was covered in wounds.

He ran up to her immediately, his voice hoarse. "Why didn't you give me a call?"

He had only known that something had happened to her because of her livestream notification. Noelle's lips curled up slightly. "Everything happened so suddenly."

Moreover, she had only suspected that the eavesdropper was Xenia, and she was not exactly sure. Blake was extremely sensitive when it came to cameras, so any slight mistake would have been enough to alert him. As such, there was only one chance.

Cedric held himself back from saying everything he wanted to say and just pulled Noelle into his arms. "I'm taking you to the hospital now."

"Not now. I need to go to the police station first. The media should have arrived by now," she replied.

It was the moment she had been waiting for. Noelle pushed Cedric's hand away and continued, "Don't worry, these are all just flesh wounds. I've followed what you taught me on how to avoid getting hit in vital areas."

Cedric felt his heart aching when he saw her swollen arm. He was getting a little furious. "Noelle! Why don't you ever take care of yourself?"

Noelle instinctively covered up her injuries. She had no other choice. If she wanted to deal with Blake, she had to strike in one clean shot. As she limped forward, Cedric stepped in to support her by the shoulders.

His tone carried a hint of anger. "Watch where you're going. I don't want you to fall and crack your head open."

Alfred followed behind them with a flashlight in hand to illuminate their path ahead. "Can you not say such scary stuff?"

As Noelle stepped out of the abandoned building, the police immediately approached her and said, "You should go to the hospital first."
