Chapter 45
Noelle wondered if Lucas‘ actions could even be considered an apology. That was clearly Lucas‘ way of forcing Noelle to accept everything that he had arranged.
Lucas‘ heart immediately dropped when he saw Noelle’s cold expression. His confident facade immediately crumbled. He had thought that Noelle would surely understand his sincerity after the lengths he had gone to apologize to her.
He had never humbled himself like this to anyone in his entire life–Noelle was the first!
Xenia took the opportunity to say, “That’s right. Noelle, Lucas has prepared an apology banquet for you today. I’m sure you can see how sincere he is and how much effort he has put into making things right with you.”
Lucas said uncomfortably, “Noelle, you can request anything of me. I’ll fulfill them for you.”
Noelle raised her eyebrow and said sarcastically, “I have one simple request.”
“Which is?” Lucas sighed in relief. As long as Noelle would raise a request, she was willing to forgive him. He knew that Noelle was just throwing a tantrum because she felt that he favored Xenia more. Once the whole fiasco was over, he would definitely find a chance to teach her a
lesson.
“From today onward, I don’t want you to appear before me anymore. I also don’t want you to take it upon yourself to make these decisions for me.”
Lucas‘ expression immediately tensed as he felt his mind go blank. Then, Noelle turned to leave without hesitation.
As she left the training camp, she was met with the heat. She found the summer heat to be annoying.
Lucas chased behind her. Then, he looked at her solemnly and said sincerely, “Noelle, what do you want me to do to gain your forgiveness? Just say the word, and I’ll do it.”
Noelle had finally lost her last shred of patience. “Did you not understand what I just said? Maybe you should go back to school and start over with your education.”
Lucas could not believe that Noelle would be so heartless. “Noelle, we’ve been very close since we were kids. Are you really planning to hold this against me forever?
