Chapter 57
Cedric lounged lazily in his chair as he slowly lowered his gaze. He replied, “I’m not sure as well.”
“It really wasn’t you that taught her how to do it step by step in secret?” asked Alfred.
“She said that she learned it herself.”
Alfred was extremely shocked. “No way! Did she really learn that by herself? Plenty of people have been trying to learn from you ever since you made it famous with your 12–hit combo, but no one’s been able to actually learn it no matter how hard they tried.”
Anyone who had played the role of a gunner knew just how difficult it was to learn King’s 12- hit combo! It required not just talent but also a sharp mind.
Unless they were personally taught by King himself, of course. But hardly anyone could ever acquire such a privilege. And thus, no one had ever managed to learn it by themselves.
Yet, Noelle was the very first to do so!
Everyone in the gaming world was speculating about the connection between Noelle and King.
Cedric’s long fingers lightly tapped the table as he said, “She’s brilliant and talented.”
He believed that Noelle would even surpass him in the future.
Once classes were over, Noelle headed to the school gate. Aiden was already respectfully waiting for her outside the car. She turned to glance at the infirmary before climbing into the vehicle.
When she returned to the Liddell residence, she looked around and felt rather unfamiliar. In her previous life, she had cherished her home and family more than anything else. But now, she felt like a stranger in that place.
Noelle entered the main hall. Frank stood up and greeted her. “Oh, Noelle, you’re back! Let’s eat! I’ve already had the kitchen prepare your favorites.”
“I’ll be eating in my room from now on,” said Noelle before heading upstairs.
Frank turned to Gordon and said, “Prepare a portion for her and take it upstairs to her room.‘
Gordon was rather displeased. “Mr. Frank, it’s clear that Ms. Liddell has an issue with Ms. Quigley. If word gets out, people might think that Ms. Liddell doesn’t want Ms. Quigley at the dinner table.”
Xenia quickly replied, “What are you talking about, Gordon? I’m sure that Noelle simply prefers eating in her own room to save time.”
