Chapter 60 

Cedric was slightly annoyed. He snapped, “It’s not what you think it is. Stop asking questions and don’t do anything unnecessary, understand?” 

Magnus shrank his neck and replied, “Okay, okay. I get it.” He wondered why Cedric was so angry about him asking a few questions. 

Cedric eventually shifted the topic away after finishing listing out his instructions. “So you wanted to invite her onto the team?” 

“Yeah. I did think of that, but it’s mostly just to annoy Lucas. He’s got no skills, yet he’s barking the loudest. I heard that he doesn’t get along with his sister, so I thought I’d take advantage of the situation.” 

“Wait until her exams are over if you want to recruit her. Before that, don’t bother her so as not to distract her.” 

After Cedric hung up the call, Magnus immediately turned around to add Noelle as a friend in the game. He wanted to figure out the exact relationship between her and Cedric. 

He had never seen Cedric hang out with a girl before, let alone treat her so well! 

A month passed in the blink of an eye. 

Noelle watched as the countdown hanging in the classroom turned to zero. She had been waiting a long time for that to happen. From this moment, she would start anew and correct everything that had gone wrong in her previous life. 

She headed to the infirmary after classes were over. 

Alfred waved and greeted her. “The exams begin tomorrow. Are you nervous, Nelly?” 

She replied, “I’m not nervous at all. If anything, I’m looking forward to it.” 

Noelle looked at Cedric, who was sitting on a chair in his white coat. Even though his attitude was indifferent, she knew that he was a good person at heart. 

When their eyes met, Cedric noticed the anticipation within her eyes and quickly understood her thoughts. 

He calmly said, “Good luck.” 

Noelle smiled and replied, “Thanks. I’ll be going now. Bye!” She had gone to the infirmary just to hear those two words from him in person. There was almost no one else aside from Cedric who genuinely wished her good luck. 

After she left, Alfred clicked his tongue and said “What a sweet little disciple you have there! It makes me want to get one myself.” 

Cedric ignored his comment and simply closed his eyes to feign a nap.
