No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 98

Noelle was surrounded by reporters, leaving her no space to move.

"Ms. Liddell, which team do you plan to join for the finals?"

"Ms. Liddell, knowing the rivalry between Starlight and Firestorm, why did you choose to sign with Firestorm?"

Noelle smiled faintly. "I haven't decided on any of that yet. Once I do, I'll let everyone know."

"Ms. Liddell, could you elaborate on the rumored fallout with your family?"

Instead of answering, Noelle turned to walk toward the hall. She lifted her gown and strode with steady steps. She spared no glance at Lucas or Frank, treating them as though they were strangers.

Lucas, who remained rooted in the same spot, was also surrounded by reporters.

The questions made his temper flare, and he snapped, "Shut up, all of you! This has nothing to do with you!"

Xenia's expression was also unhappy. She hadn't expected Noelle to be SweetNelly.

Noelle had gained tens of thousands of followers quickly, easily surpassing her. On that thought, her stomach churned with jealousy.

She wondered why. After all, she had worked hard, too. Yet all Noelle had to do was hide her identity, and the world rushed to her feet.

Frank, on the other hand, remained composed. He pulled Lucas aside, his tone laced with warning. "Enough. You're making a bigger scene than necessary."

Lucas turned his head and wiped his reddened eyes, saying nothing.

Frank turned to the reporters and made a statement. "The Liddell family will address this matter in due course. We'll release an official statement. In the meantime, we would appreciate it if you could refrain from making any untrue reports."

With that, he firmly guided Lucas into the event venue. He didn't want to cause any more scenes before the reporters.

Xenia deliberately lagged behind as she waited for Frank and Lucas to walk further away.

Then, she turned to the reporters and cast a look of apology. "I'm sorry for my brother Lucas' outburst earlier. It's just that Noelle's words were a bit harsh. I know she's upset, but aren't family matters best resolved behind closed doors? I truly don't understand her."

With that, she turned to leave. Her lips curled slightly into a satisfied smile.

If Noelle thought that she could get her chance to return to the Liddell family, she thought wrong!
