No More Waiting, She Chooses Love novel Chapter 633

"Jacqueline, betrayal doesn't just happen once. If it's done once, it can happen again. Conrad has completely lost my trust. Even if I don't choose Dustin, Conrad is definitely not an option," I cut off Jacqueline's hope sharply.

"Dustin isn't an option either," Herschel, who had been silent until now, suddenly spoke up.

I wasn't surprised. The words Jacqueline shared with me had clearly been discussed with Herschel beforehand.

"Herschel, we're living in an era of free love. Besides, do you think Dustin knows you're trying to sway my decision like this?" I asked with a slight chuckle.

Herschel's face turned sour, "Felicia, I know things can never go back to how they used to be between us. You may not hold me accountable, but that doesn't mean you harbor no resentment towards me. If you're upset, you can take it out on me, but I won't allow you to drive a wedge between those two brothers."

"Herschel, you're reading too much into it. I'm not trying to stir up trouble between them. I just want a simple life," I said with self-mockery, pulling at the corner of my mouth. "All I'm looking for is someone who loves me, a stable home, my own little haven."

"Felicia, if all you want is someone to love you, I can introduce you to better candidates," Jacqueline said urgently.

"But would Dustin agree to that? On my way here, he told me he only wants me, even if I still have feelings for Ernest," my words made both of them visibly upset, and they fell silent.

After a while, Jacqueline finally spoke with sorrow, "But if you end up with Dustin, it could ruin Conrad."

They were worried about ruining Conrad, but what about my Ernest? He was already destroyed.

I glanced outside, where Conrad and Dustin were talking, though I couldn't hear what about. Likely, it was about me.

Perhaps Conrad was also pressuring Dustin to give up on me, just like Jacqueline and Herschel.

Brothers turned against each other over a woman; this must be the greatest tragedy for this couple.

There's an old saying that karma will always find its way. Maybe it was meant to be this way.

They took me in out of guilt for what happened to my parents, never imagining that it would drive a wedge between their once close-knit family because of me.
