No More Waiting, She Chooses Love novel Chapter 672

I looked up and saw an elderly couple, hand in hand, walking into the station with a mix of anxiety and unease.

As the officer assigned to greet us was about to rise, I beat him to it and stood up. "Sir, Ma'am."

This couple was Judie Sears' parents. They both turned to me, and after a brief moment of astonishment, Lily blurted out, "Judie..."

"She's not Judie," Judie's father, Joseph Sears, quickly corrected his wife.

The flicker of joy on Lily's face immediately collapsed into heartbreaking sadness.

I quickly approached them, "Sir, Ma'am, what seems to be the problem? What brings you here today?"

I had jumped ahead of the officer's script, and now he came over as well. "If you two are here to file a report, please come with me."

Joseph and Lily remained still, already beginning to share their troubles with the officer. "For the past few days, someone's been vandalizing our door, threatening us with harm if we don't comply with their demands."

Hearing this sent a shiver down my spine, and I saw the officer frown in concern. "Do you know who this person is? Any idea why they're targeting you?"

The couple shook their heads, and Joseph sighed, "We have no idea who it could be."

"How long has this been going on?" the officer probed further.

"About three, three to four days now," Joseph glanced at his wife for confirmation.

Lily nodded, her eyes fixed on the officer. "Officer, you must help us..."

"Don't worry, we'll do everything in our power to protect you. But right now, we need your cooperation to get all the details," the officer gestured for them to follow. "Please come with me."

Joseph looked at me, his mouth opened as if he wanted to say something.
