No More Waiting, She Chooses Love novel Chapter 738

Passing by?!

Sinclair was gone, and Fanny couldn't stop mulling over those two words. This was the maternity ward, after all. What reason did Sinclair, a full-grown man, have to be "passing by"? There was only one possibility: his girlfriend must have come here for some medical reason.

That made sense. Sinclair was quite the catch—handsome, sophisticated, and popular among the girls even back in school. Fanny used to fend off his admirers back then; imagine the attention he must be getting now, with his added mature charm.

The recent uproar had been significant. A video posted online by an aggrieved family member had gone viral, making even Fanny's parents aware of the incident. "Fanny, we saw the video about the trouble at the maternity ward. You're not involved, are you?" her parents had asked.

"I'm fine, Mom and Dad," Fanny reassured them.

"Don't lie to us. If there's a problem, just tell us, and we'll figure it out together."

"There's really nothing wrong," Fanny insisted, quickly changing the subject. "Mom, has Uncle Mike found a girlfriend yet?"

Her mother, Joie Willis, was taken aback. "I wouldn't know. He's not much of a talker, and besides, there's quite an age gap between us. He doesn't share much with me either."

After a bit of nagging, Joie inquired, "So, you've seen her? What does the girl look like? Your grandmother and the rest of the family are quite eager to know."

"No, I was just asking," Fanny replied, not wanting to stir up any awkwardness, especially since she hadn't seen anything firsthand.

Joie huffed, "I know you too well. You must've seen something, or you wouldn't have asked. Out with it."

Faced with her mother's persistent questioning, Fanny ended up sharing the tidbit about Sinclair visiting the maternity ward.

"That settles it then. He must have a girlfriend. Why else would he be at the maternity ward? I'll ask him about it when I get the chance," Joie concluded.
