After descending from the snowy slope, Lenora received a WhatsApp message from Elijah. 

As expected, his friend turned her down. 

Lenora replied: What a pity. Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to hang out together in the future. 

Elijah responded with an emoji. 

Upon seeing the words “chance to hang out, Zachary’s face darkened. 

Lenora and her friends went to dine at a restaurant. The restaurant featured a large floor–to–ceiling window that offered a comprehensive view of the scenery outside.

Due to the lack of a sense of time, the visitors didn’t have a set meal schedule, resulting in the restaurant being sparsely populated at that moment. 

Halfway through their meal, someone gasped, “Look! Is that the Northern Lights?” 

Within the deep blue sky, a faint hint of green emerged, almost imperceptible unless one looked closely. 

Yet, it still managed to capture the attention of numerous guests. 

Not long after, the aurora borealis suddenly erupted in a grand spectacle. Vast swathes of green, tinged with hints of white and purple, appeared across the expansive sky. 

Some tourists who had been resting in their hotel rooms dashed outside. 

Lenora, Sophia, and Fiona also put down their forks, venturing out to capture the Aurora. 

Lenora was in the midst of finding the right angle when she suddenly felt a piercing gaze on her. It made her feel like she was sitting on pins and needles, just like the other night. 

She instinctively scanned her surroundings, searching for the source of that gaze. 

But all the tourists around her were busy capturing the Aurora, no one noticed her. 

Lenora cast her gaze toward the second floor of the conge hotel. 

Just then, that piercing gaze vanished. 

After a thoughtful pause, Lenora returned to taking pictures of the Autora. 

Suddenly, she noticed that gaze was once again fixed on her. 

She pretended to be oblivious, continuously taking photos. It was as though the gaze was glued onto her, scrutinizing her every move. 

Lenora was certain, that gaze wasn’t merely a tourist’s casual glance, it was directed at her Abruptly, Lenora turned around, taking a good look at the second floor of the cottage hotel.

Some rooms had their lights on, with many windows wide open as the occupants inside captured the 

aurora 

Others had rushed out, leaving the lights on in their haste. 

Meanwhile, a few rooms remained in darkness, their curtains drawn tight 

Lenora wasn’t sure which room that gaze had come from. 

She lifted her phone, pointing it toward the direction of the cottage hotel. It appeared as though she capturing the hotel and the aurora, but in reality, she was gradually zooming in on the lens, observing each room’s window one by one. 

Suddenly, she noticed a slight movement of the curtains in one of the rooms through the lens, as if the had just been released when she turned around. 

The room was dark, with the windows shut and the curtains drawn. 

But there was someone inside! 

Lenora noted the order of the rooms. Based on the hotel’s numbering system, the room number shoul 

be 0207. 

Seeing Sophia and Fiona engrossed in taking pictures, Lenora excused herself, claiming she was tired, a returned to the hotel. 

Everyone here valued their privacy, so it wasn’t going to work for Lenora to directly approach the front desk with her inquiries. 

She thought for a moment, then quickly made her way to the restaurant. Approaching the bar staff, she spoke in Uprian. “Excuse me, my friend has a stomachache. Could you please bring him a cup of hot water? His room number is 0207.” 

After she finished speaking, she anxiously looked out the window, muttering to herself in Uprian. “Such terrible timing for the pain, the aurora is almost over… 

She turned to the staff again and said, “Could you please hurry up? I’m going to take some pictures outside!” 

Before the staff could reply, Lenora acted as if she was in a hurry and started to walk away. 

In a hidden corner of the restaurant, where she was out of sight, she stood against the wall, peering with one eye at the movements of the staff 

The staff member evidently had no suspicions about her. He prepared a cup of plain boiled water, even accompanying it with a few tablets for stomachache. Carrying these, he left the bar counter and headed up to the second floor. 

Immediately, Lenora followed in silence, positioning herself at the entrance of the corridor, peering cautiously down the hallway. 

The staff member knocked on the door of room 0207, and a young man emerged from within. Upon seeing the stall member, he asked in Uprian. “What’s up?”

The staff member had initially assumed that Lenora’s friend was a delicate young lady. Upon seeing man before him, he was taken aback and repeated Lenora’s words. 

The young man was momentarily taken aback, but he quickly pieced together what had transpired. I hadn’t expected Lenora to be so vigilant. 

He accepted the tray with a smile, thanking the staff member, before closing the door. 

Lenora pulled back, standing against the wall. 

She recognized the young man, it was Elijah! 

She felt that there was something off about Elijah! 

Just as expected! 

That night, he must have been the one who was watching her! 

His acquaintance with her likely extended beyond mere recognition from the news. 

Suddenly, a message popped up on Lenora’s phone. 

Elijah took the initiative and sent her a message: I have a stomachache? 

Seeing him ask so openly made Lenora’s heart skip a beat. She hesitated for a moment before answerin noticed you hadn’t left your room and started to worry you might be unwell. How did you know it was r 

Elijah: I was just observing you. How did you know I was staying in this room? 

Lenora hadn’t expected Elijah to admit it outright: I saw you go in this morning. 

Upon seeing the message, Elijah chuckled lightly and glanced at Zachary: I appreciate your concern for me. I was indeed feeling a bit under the weather and went to bed early. I was awakened by some commotion outside, so I pulled back the curtains to take a look. 

In reality, he resided in 0208, but he had indeed visited this place in the morning. 

While typing, Elijah said to Zachary, “She’s quite vigilant.” 

Zachary took the phone from his hand, only to see Lenora extending another invitation: You should–rest well, are you sure you won’t join us? 

Lenora was curious to see what exactly Elijah was planning to do.

His finger hovered over the send button, pondering for moment. In the end, he didn’t press it. Instead. he deleted the few characters he had typed and replaced them with: Apologies, I’m not fond of traveling
