“If I hadn’t shown up, where were you all planning to go this afternoon?” Jonas asked, taking the side dishes from the waiter and placing them at the edge of the table. 

“We would be taking the ferry. I’ve heard that the views of the opera house and Supreme Bridge from the ferry are even more stunning.” Lenora picked up a piece of grilled fish, carefully removed the bones, and placed it in her mouth. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. 

“Let’s take the ferry, then. I’ll go with you guys,” Jonas suggested. Noticing that Lenora’s cup was nearly empty, he asked, “Do you want more Sprite? I can get you a refill.” 

“Okay.” Lenora dropped two pieces of mushroom into the bubbling soup. 

“There you go.” Jonas placed the cup back in front of Lenora and sat down. 

“Thank you. 

“You guys have had your fill of Sloummont these past few days, haven’t you? Where are you planning to go next?” 

“Actually, we were planning to go to Musbane tomorrow, but since you just arrived today, we haven’t had a chance to explore Slourmont…” 

“It’s fine. I’ve been to Sloummont before when I was on tour,” Jonas said. “I’ve had my fun here, so let’s head straight to Musbane tomorrow.” 

“All right, then.” 

In a café across the street, Zachary watched as Jonas took a seat next to Lenora. One moment, he was helping Lenora with her drink. The next, he was using the serving fork to serve her food. It was enough to make Zachary’s blood boil. 

That spot was supposed to be his. 

The Clusian restaurant where they had their meal was not far from the pier, so they decided to take a leisurely walk there. 

Jonas willingly took the bags from Lenora and Sophia. 

As they walked, they passed by a cafe. At the entrance, a few sun umbrellas were set up, with round seats placed underneath them. 

Jonas suggested, “Why don’t you guys wait here for a bit? I’ll treat you to some coffee.” 

Taking in the scenery while sipping coffee on a ferry was indeed a delightful experience. 

Sophia nodded in agreement, guiding Lenora to sit down on the chair. “I hate to be a bother, but could I get an iced cappuccino?” she asked. 

“I’d like to have an iced latte.” 

“All right. You guys wait here for a bit. I’ll go line up.”

Observing Jonas, weighed down by two women’s handlings, standing in line amidst a group of girls, Sophia chuckled to Lenora. “He’s really playing the part of a protector well.” 

Lenora flashed a faint smile and didn’t say much. 

This scene unfolded before Zachary’s eyes, and he let out a cold snort with a darkened expression, Jonas- sure knows how to play the charming card! 

In a short while, Jonas emerged, holding three cups of coffee in his hands. He distributed them to Lenora and Sophia. 

“Thanks,” 

Lenora took the coffee, giving it a slight shake. Her exquisite brows arched, a hint of laughter twinkling in her eyes. Her rosy lips curved upward into a pleasing smile. 

Jonas was stunned momentarily, “You’re welcome.” 

Lenora took a sip from the straw. The icy cold latté hitting her tongue immediately dispelled the summer heat clinging to her entire body. 

With a teasing tone, Jonas said, “Nora, you should smile more. You look good when you smile.” 

The trio continued their journey toward the dock, where they purchased tickets and boarded the ferry. 

Several people boarded the ferry, which set sail away from the shore and headed toward Crescent Park across the water. 

The view grew increasingly expansive as the ferry sailed further from the shore. From the distant sea, Sloummont Opera House appeared as if it was nestled in the ocean, connected to Supreme Bridge from end to end, presenting a sight of grandeur and magnificence. 

“Ms. Tortell, could you please take a few photos of Nora and me?” Jonas handed his phone to Sophia. 

“All right. Let me show you my photography skills. You two, head over there…” Sophia pointed to a spot on the deck and lifted the phone. “Yes. Stand right there. A bit closer,” 

Lenora glanced at Jonas beside her, subtly shifting two steps closer to him. 

With a captivating smile gracing his face, Jonas took a significant step toward Lenora, his arm brushing against Lenora’s shoulder. 

He turned slightly toward Lenora, revealing his long, slender legs. 

“That looks good! Hold that pose and don’t move. Three, two, one!” 

What’s so good about that? It’s not good at all! Why are they standing so close for a picture? This Jonas is truly cunning! Inside the ferry’s private lounge, Zachary saw Jonas constantly moving toward Lenora. He was so frustrated that he was nearly grinding his teeth to bits. 

“Nora, give me a smile! Strike a pose.”

The characters and the beautiful scenery complemented each other perfectly, forming an impeccable tableau that left one unsure where to look first. 

Jonas nodded in satisfaction. “Thank you. The photos have turned out great. Do you guys want a picture? I can help you out.” 

“Sure thing!” Sophia led Lenora to the railing, positioning herself just right. 

Compared to Lenora and Jonas, Sophia’s poses with Lenora were more varied, mostly due to Sophia’s whimsical nature, One moment, she was wrapping her arms around Lenora’s waist. The next, she was resting her head on her shoulder. After that, she was puckering her lips to plant a kiss on her cheek. All Lenora had to do was reciprocate with appropriate expressions. 

Zachary’s expression finally brightened a bit once he saw Sophia replace Jonas to take photos with Lenora, However, this didn’t last for more than a few seconds before it quickly clouded over again. 

After the photos were taken, Lenora and Sophia gathered around to look at the photos on the phone. 

Jonas and Lenora were so close that their heads were nearly touching. 

Zachary thought there was no doubt Jonas was doing it on purpose. 

Ever since Jonas joined Lenora and Sophia, Zachary’s expression had been unpleasant throughout the 

journey.
