Chapter 305 Do You Hate Me That Much
Chapter 305 Do You Hate Me That Much
Lenora paid no heed to Tamara, heading straight for the police station
Susanna was currently being detained.
The officer led Lenora into an interrogation room, where Susanna was already seated across the table restrained in her chair.
When she saw Lenora enter, her gaze was intensely fixed on Lenora, as though she was on the verge of saying something. However, upon noticing the police officer nearby, she held her tongue.
“You two carry on with your conversation. Ill step–out for a bit. Don’t take too long the oficer sad before exiting through the door.
Inside the interrogation room, Susanna glared at Lenora, a trace of malice flashing in her eyes, quite flustered and exasperated. “Lenora,” she said, “we agreed that I would testify the next day. How dare you break your promise and actually call the police?”
Lenora mocked with a smirk, grasping the back of the chair and pulling it back, she sat down opposite Susanna. “Wasn’t it you who broke the promise? You thought I didn’t know you delayed the time to testify and tipped off Richie? You never intended to testify!”
“How absurd! That’s the same man suspected of kidnapping me years ago. Why on earth would I tip off? Susanna shouted.
“Your phone call history was restored, and there was a conversation with Richie.” Lenora stated confidently, a mocking smile playing on her lips. Just how much do you hate me, to even put a above me?
In an effort to piece together the scheme between Susanna and Gary, the technical team at the police station managed to restore certain WhatsApp conversations and call logs from Susanna’s phone

Given that Susanna and Lenora were both involved in the kidnapping and car accident cases, the chief took a special interest in this criminal case. Consequently, he noticed a number from Richie in the recovered call records.
Benedict was truly at a loss for words. Could Susanna really harbor such deep resentment toward Lenora?
Not only did she scheme against Lenora, but she also let her own kidnapper go.
Upon hearing this, Susanna’s face stiffened.
Lenora looked at her and said, “The police mentioned that you wanted to see me. What’s the matter? Speak up.
Susanna glared resentfully at Lenora, biting her lip. “Lenora,” she demanded. “issue me a agreement!”
a settlement
Susanna was considered an accomplice. Her plot had not been successful, and coupled with the victim’s agreement for a settlement, there might be a chance for her to appeal for a lighter sentence.

Hearing Susanna’s righteous tone, Lenora let out a cold laugh. “Susanna, do you still not understand your current situation?”
“Of course, I understand,” she said, “So, let’s make a deal. Don’t you want to know why Zachary chose to let me go?” Susanna raised an eyebrow.
Lenora was taken aback. She hadn’t expected Susanna to bring this up on her own. Raising an eyebrow, she asked, “Didn’t you say back then that Zachary had feelings for you?”
Looking back, it was clear what happened.
At that time, Zachary did let Susanna go, but it was due to a specific reason, not because he had feelings for
Susanna.
Susanna held her leverage tightly, capitalizing on Zachary’s affection for her to gain her freedom from
him.
Now, Susanna wanted to use this advantage to make Lenora give her a settlement agreement.
Hence, Zachary did not lie at that time.
Susanna laughed. “Of course not.”
Lenora said, “First, you claimed that Zachary let you go because he likes you, and now you’re saying that’s not the case. You’re talking in circles. Who knows which of your statements is true?”
“Of course you can do as you please, having Zachary to protect you! As for me, I had to tread carefully. Zachary threatened me, forbade me to speak out, especially to keep you in the dark. What else could I do?” Susanna asked.
Lenora was befuddled. “What you’re implying is…”
“It’s about you.”
Lenora feigned disbelief. “Ha, are you implying that you have something on me and that Zachary let you go because of me? What a joke! What could you possibly have on me?”
“If you’re skeptical,” Susanna offered, “I can give you one piece of information first. You’re free to verify it before deciding whether or not to proceed with the deal.”
By this point, Susanna had long since thrown her agreement with Zachary to the back of her mind.
She only knew that she couldn’t be convicted.
Lenora wore a puzzled expression, hesitating for a moment before asking, “So, you’re saying you have two pieces of leverage over me?”
She was incredibly curious.
She couldn’t possibly fathom what kind of leverage she might have inadvertently left in Susanna’s hands, let alone two!

“You may say so.” Susanna leaned back in her chair, her face exuding an air of confidence and certainty.
After a few seconds of silence, Lenora finally spoke, “Alright, I agree to your terms. You tell me one of these things first, and after I verify it, if it’s true, I’ll come back to find you.”
Susanna raised an eyebrow. “Let me start by telling you the first thing. Actually, you are not at all-
In the middle of their conversation, a police officer suddenly pushed the door open. “Time’s up, Ms. Wilkin. Please come out,” he said.
Lenora was speechless.
She turned to glance at the officer, a playful smile on her lips. “Could you perhaps be a little flexible and grant me five more minutes?” she asked.
The officer shook his head. “I’m sorry, it’s an order.”
Lenora paused. “Alright then.”
She reluctantly rose from her seat, casting a glance at Susanna. “I’ll come back another day.”
There was still time before the case would be prosecuted.
“Wait a moment…
Susanna was about to say something when she was interrupted by the officer, “Oh, by the way, Ms. Wilkin, someone is looking for you outside.”
“Is someone looking for me?” asked Lenora as she walked out.
Who would come looking for her at the police station?
Upon entering the main office, Lenora cast her gaze around.
Next to the main entrance, in front of the floor–to–ceiling window, a figure stood tall and straight, hands clasped behind his back.
He was dressed in a black overcoat, with suit pants adorning his lower body. The trousers were neatly creased, and he wore handmade leather shoes. His shoulders were broad and sturdy, his overall appearance neat and clean.
Lenora pursed her lips, her gaze falling on the back of his head.
Everyone has their own unique quirks, and she was no exception.
Lenora actually had a fondness for Zachary’s nape and the back of his neck.
Due to prevailing trends, many young men sported slightly longer hair, resulting in a layer of hair accumulating at the nape of their necks.
Lenora didn’t like it, especially during winter. They would wear layers of thick clothing, with their hair tucked behind their necks, appearing rather unkempt.
