Madison finally realized that Lenora and the unreasonable woman, Summer, seemed to know each other.

While the two were busy arguing. Lenora shot Madison a meaningful look, signaling the latter to leave

Madison didn’t leave. She knew that if she did, Summer would undoubtedly blame Lenora.

Summer certainly did not want to involve the police. She glared at Lenora and turned away.

Seeing Summer vanish around the corner, Lenora retracted her gaze and turned to Madison with a smile, “You all right?”

“Yes. Thank you, Ms. Wilkin,” replied Madison.

“No problem. I heard you mention earlier that today’s your last day working here?”

“Yes.” Madison began to explain. “My dad was unwell before, so I took a break from school. Now that he’s almost fully recovered. I’ve arranged to resume my studies.”

“Congratulations on your father’s recovery.”

“Thank you. I’ll go grab a mop and clean up this area.”

“All right.” Lenora then went to the restroom.

Upon returning from the restroom, she noticed a woman had taken her original seat across from Zachary

When she headed closer to the table, she realized it was indeed Summer.

When Zachary was performing on stage, Summer took notice of him.

She was in such a rush earlier because she wanted to strike up a conversation with Zachary.

The instant she spotted Zachary’s figure, she strode toward him and plopped down opposite him. “Hey, handsome, we meet again.”

Zachary looked up at her. “Have we met before?”

Then, she smiled gently. “We met at the mall earlier.”

“Oh, the one who fell on flat ground?” responded Zachary.

The corner of Summer’s mouth twitched before she pulled out her trump card. “You’re Zachary, aren’t you? I’m not sure if you know my cousin. He’s also in Jacaster right now.”
