No Way Back (Jane and Hugh) by Anna Mac novel Chapter 37

Chapter 37

Jane was about to speak, but Hugh reached his hand out and placed it on

Jane’s lips.

“If you want more, I have plenty more where it came from.

“Once we sign the contract, what is mine is yours.”

When Jane looked at Hugh, she was at a loss.

Her lips unknowingly turned red when Hugh touched them.

They felt a little warm.

She also sensed a burning sensation

Her lips were so soft that Hugh wanted to take a bite out of them

He wanted to sample the flavor for himself

“Mr. Croft, you promised to let me consider carefully You agreed not to force me.”

Jane bit her tongue gently to calm herself down.

“Oh yes. I nearly forgot.”

Huge smiled slightly. “As an apology, I will send you some food, regardless of rain or shine, whenever you have a craving.”

“Mr. Croft, is this what you do to hit on women? As the CEO of DY Group, don’t you have a little too much time on your hands?”

“If it’s for you, it’s worth it.”

Hugh spoke solemnly.

His intense gaze made it clear he was not joking the slightest bit.

It was so intense that it felt like a knife cutting through the sky and turning night into dawn.

“Thanks then. Mr. Croft, I’m a little tired, so I think I’m going to bed.”

Jane subtly told him to leave.

She wanted to do her utmost not to let Hugh’s scent affect her rationality. If Hugh continued hanging out here, they would be alone in the apartment. Also, this big bad wolf was able to affect Jane’s judgment with his scent.

The Type Omega blood kept raging inside Jane’s body.

Whatever it was, Jane was just a normal woman

She could not promise that something unspeakable would not happen.

“In that case, I won’t hold you up. See you, Janie.”

“You…”

“Your name sounds good. It sounds even better that way.”

She felt her heart thumping hard.

“What is going on?” she thought.

Jane’s head felt giddy.

She sensed her blood flow racing clearly

Every word he uttered sounded like sweet poison popping into Jane’s mouth.

It was absolutely sweet.

It sounded so sweet that Jane wanted to sleep. It was as if she was poisoned.

She did her utmost to stay awake until Hugh left her apartment.

The moment she ****the door, Jane slumped onto the couch.

She used her hand to cover her face as she breathed deeply.

It took her some time before her blood finally stopped raging.

“Damn it. I did not realize people with the same type of Omega blood could react so strangely.”

After clearing her mind, Jane stood up and rubbed her temples.

In the past, she only interacted with Hugh at some distance or only briefly.

It was the first time they had spent so much time together alone in a room in close proximity.

When Jane sat on the couch, it was still warm from Hugh’s touch.

Hugh’s sweet scent still lingered in the air, and Jane adored it.

No way.

She had to take a bath to help herself wake up.

Hugh left the apartment and got into the Maybach.

He looked at his fingers and faintly felt the sensation of Jane’s lips

Hugh placed his fingers into his mouth and licked them

It was Jane’s taste.

It was simply intoxicating.

Hugh experienced the same kind of side effects as Jane.

Hugh keenly sensed his blood raging.

It felt as though every cell in his system was raging

He wanted to embrace Jane and eat her whole

He was a hunter marking his prey before taking it down and dragging it back to his lair.

However, he had to be patient.

Hugh clenched his fists tightly with veins throbbing on his forehead.

A mysterious light swept through his eyes, which looked like a flower blossoming in the night.

“Mr. Croft.”

The chauffeur turned the wheel in the driver’s seat.

Hugh was sitting in the shadows, so it was impossible to see his face.

Otherwise, the chauffeur would have felt scared shitless.

Hugh was completely different than normal now.

“Go back.”

“Yes, Mr. Croft.”

When Jack woke up the next day, it was nine in the morning.

He rubbed his brow. He had not slept well.

Jane’s actions the day before had kept him up.

“I wasn’t in the wrong. I was just worried about my youngest son.

“If Jane had not made those mistakes and *** me off, I would not have blindly maligned her!

“It’s all Jane’s fault. I do not understand how I could possibly give birth and

raise a daughter like her. It’s simply a family tragedy. If only Maddie was my biological daughter, then my life would be perfect.”

As a father, Jack still had a lot of pride.

Jane wanted Jack to apologize openly. She could dream on.

It would be a complete embarrassment for Jack.

As Jack did his utmost to justify his wretched actions and convince himself everything was legitimate, a knock was heard at the door.

“Jack, are you awake?”

“Anna, I’m up. Just come on in.”

For a moment, Jack thought his wife missed him

He grinned happily like a man in love.

It was public knowledge that Jack was not afraid of anyone except his wife’s temper and tears.

When people called Jack an indulgent husband, Jack did not feel embarrassed. Instead, he felt proud.

Back in the day, Jack kept praying to all kinds of gods before he finally won the woman’s heart.

He tossed everything aside with determination and picked this woman without hesitation.

Jack had a motto. In times of danger, he could throw aside everything. If it was really serious, he could do the same to his sons but not his wife. She was the only thing that mattered more than life to him.

He naturally loved Anna deeply. He indulged her and wanted to give her everything he could.

They were so in love that even though they were middle-aged, their love was still strong and even more passionate.

They were the envy of everyone.

Anna pushed the door open.

“Anna, give me a hug.”

“What do you mean by a hug? Something’s gone down. We just received a
