swnovels.com Calvin frowned, “I was just concerned about you.”
Hearing that, Rita got even angrier, “What did you say? You’re still concerned about me? What, you still have some energy left for me after caring for Selena? Thank you. I don’t need you to concern about me. I don’t care about it at all.”
Calvin murmured, “I wasn’t seeing Selena.”
“Really? Can you swear to God that if you saw Selena today, you’ll be condemned to hell?”
Calvin didn’t dare to do that. He did see Selena today but it was a totally different situation. A lot of things happened today and he had met a lot of people.
“What? You didn’t dare to do that? Then back off!”
Rita pushed him away and went upstairs.
Seeing her running upstairs like that, Calvin thought for a while and followed her back to the house.
In the living room, Carrie and Lewis were watching TV.
“Rita, what happened to you? I heard that you and Calvin seemed to be fighting? Did he do something to you again? I’ll go and find him.”
Rita hastily dragged her arm, “Mom, it’s not him. I was the one who was throwing a tantrum.”
“Why? Something’s wrong about the clinic?”
Rita sighed, “It’s not about the clinic. It’s about Amanda.”
“The girl from the Cooper family? Did she bully you?”
Seeing her worried like that, Carries suddenly asked, “Rita, have you ever mentioned it to that loser?”
“Calvin? How could he help with this kind of things?”
“Are you dumb? Of course he can help out now. He knows Selena Bentley from Bentley Group, doesn’t he?”
Before Rita could answer, Lewis snapped, “You're the dumb one. You already suspected Calvin of cheating on Rita with Selena, and now you want him to beg her? Aren't you looking for trouble?”
Carrie didn’t think that was a good idea either. She muttered for a while, but said nothing more.
Rita held her phone, feeling down. Selena was indeed the most likely person to help them.
