30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 495

As Taylor approached Leonora, he gently lifted her chin and leaned in for a quick kiss. "What's up? Feeling awkward not having to work and just keeping me company?"

Leonora nodded. "Yeah, it feels a bit weird eating without doing any work."

Taylor chuckled, pinching her cheek. "How did I get so lucky with such a sweet and sensible Leonora?"

The way Taylor said 'my Leonora' made her blush, and she quickly moved his hand away. Their flirtation still felt a bit awkward.

Leonora blushed, and Taylor, treating her like a child, clapped his hands at her. "Come here for a hug, jump up."

As she turned around after washing the dishes, she saw Leonora leaning against the doorframe, watching him. Taylor's heart melted.

Comforting Leonora now felt just like soothing a child.

With his eyes sparkling, Leonora said, "I'm not a three-year-old."

After saying that, she slapped the palm of his hand playfully.

Taylor laughed, seizing the opportunity to hold her hand. "Who says you can't get a hug if you're not a three-year-old? Just listen."

Looking up at him, seeing his face full of tenderness, Leonora finally gave in, pushed off the ground, and jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist.

Grant would be back soon, and this playful moment wouldn't last long. She'd play her part until the end!

With her arms around Taylor's neck, Leonora slightly furrowed her brow. "My stomach hurts a little."

Hearing her complaint, Taylor carried her to the fridge, one hand supporting her bottom, the other opening the fridge to take out some honey, and made her a cup of hot honey water.

Throughout the process, Taylor held Leonora securely in one arm. Seeing Taylor's care, Leonora was somewhat mesmerized.

At that moment, she didn't feel like Taylor's lover but rather like his daughter. She wondered what kind of father Taylor would be if he ever had a daughter.

Holding Leonora in one arm and the hot honey water in the other, they went to the living room. Taylor then smiled at her. "Did the pain make you dumb? You've gone silent."

Leonora snapped back, "No."

Watching Taylor place the hot honey water on the coffee table, Leonora slowly slid down from his embrace. Then, she took the hot honey water Taylor had made for her and sat on the sofa to watch TV.

Seeing this, Taylor sat down next to her, pulling her into his arms so she could sit on his lap and watch TV. With one hand around her waist and the other gently rubbing her belly, he helped soothe her stomach ache.

Taylor's hand was warm, so warm that when it touched Leonora's belly, she felt the pain lessen significantly. Her attention drifted away from the TV program, occasionally turning to look at Taylor.

"Feeling better?" Taylor asked when Leonora turned to look at him again.

"Much better." Leonora nodded, and Taylor pressed his face against hers. "You might just be a bit cold inside. I'll get a doctor to prescribe some herbal medicine to help you adjust."

"Mhm." Leonora nodded.

Feeling the gentleness of Taylor's cheek against hers, Leonora began to enjoy this closeness, liking his scent. Subconsciously, she rubbed her face against his.

Worried that Taylor might not let her leave, Leonora dangled a carrot in front of him, as if she was coaxing a toddler.

Every time she tried to persuade Taylor, it was like a little kid trying to win over their parents.

Leonora mentioned she needed to go shopping, to which Taylor responded, "Let me come with you."

But Leonora furrowed her brows, "Taylor, do you realize what you're saying? Aren't you afraid of being seen, of ending up trending online?"

Did he even understand his own status? Besides, he might not care about gossip, but she certainly did!

Seeing her hesitation, Taylor patted her thigh, "What's there to be afraid of? Come on, let's go grocery shopping with my Arielle."

"...," Leonora was at a loss.

Why did he always have to be so unconventional?

Taylor quickly changed his shoes, visibly excited to go shopping with her. In that moment, Leonora couldn't bring herself to refuse him, so she rummaged through a drawer for a mask to wear.

She also grabbed one for Taylor, but not only did he refuse to wear it, he even took off the one Leonora was wearing as they got out of the car and tossed it into a trash bin.

If he wasn't hiding, why should she?

Seeing her mask thrown away, Leonora lifted her gaze to meet his.
