30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 533

Ava had left, leaving just Leonora and Taylor outside the restroom.

Noticing Leonora's sour expression, Taylor stepped closer, gently brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, and asked softly, "What brings you here?"

Despite feeling upset, angry, and wronged, Leonora kept her cool and replied, "Just needed to use the restroom."

The more she found out, the less she wanted to argue with Taylor. It was pointless. The more she caused a scene, the more she felt cheap and ridiculous.

"Go ahead then, I'll wait for you."

"Okay."

With a soft acknowledgment, Leonora walked past him toward the restroom. On the outside, she seemed calm, but inside, her heart was racing, and her body was trembling. A heavy weight pressed on her chest, refusing to lift.

If she had a knife in her hand at that moment, she could have stabbed Taylor without saying a word, venting the frustration and humiliation she had endured over the past two years.

When she came out of the restroom, Taylor was waiting by the door.

Leonora washed her hands, dried them with a paper towel, tossed it in the bin, and then headed back to their private dining room.

Taylor tried to grab her arm, but Leonora forcefully shook him off. "Don't touch me."

At this point, the mere sight of Taylor irritated and disgusted her. Especially when she thought of their intimate moments, she wanted to slap herself.

She blamed herself for not asking Grant about the reasons behind Taylor's revenge. This could have prevented the current awkwardness and embarrassment.

If there was anything she regretted in her life, it was getting to know Taylor and his uncle Grant.

Seeing Leonora's mood, Taylor didn't touch her, knowing he had indeed used her. So, shortly after they returned to their private room, Taylor decided to take Leonora home.

During the ride back, Leonora stayed silent, not questioning Taylor, just staring out the window, refusing to speak. It was as if her heart and soul had vanished at that moment.

"Leonora."

Taylor called her name, and with a slight frown and a hint of impatience, she replied, "Please, just let me have some peace."

Just hearing Taylor's voice made Leonora irritable. Seeing her reaction, Taylor's expression darkened, and he suggested, "Let's talk in Southbay."

Leonora didn't look at him or respond. If he wanted to talk, then they would talk!

Half an hour later, the car parked in the underground garage. Taylor, as usual, reached out to hold Leonora's hand, but she avoided him, crossing her arms defensively, denying him any chance to touch her.

She had come to Southbay intending to negotiate. If Taylor could read the room, if he could straightforwardly say it was over, then she would drop the matter. From then on, they would go their separate ways, strangers to one another.

Taylor's attitude, combined with what she had overheard at the restaurant about being used for revenge against Grant, pushed Leonora over the edge. Taylor had embarrassed her too much.

As a woman, why should she bear the consequences of another woman's whims? Why should she be coerced and threatened by Taylor?

Especially when Taylor wanted her to bear his child, attempting to exploit her for the last bit of value she held as a woman, Leonora was infuriated. Her fierce gaze and steadfast resolve left Taylor seething in frustration.

Taylor looked at Leonora with a cold smile, his teeth clenched as he said, "Fine, being with me is a burden, seeing me annoys you, and all you think about is how to avoid me, right! Fine, Leonora, if you want to break up, I'll let you have your way."

Only Taylor knew the mindset with which he uttered these words. For two years, aside from not promising her marriage, in what way had he wronged her? If she wanted to break up, then so be it; he wouldn't be lacking in women.

Leonora claimed to feel aggrieved, to be annoyed at the sight of him, and this time, Taylor didn't wish to insist. Thus, without much argument, he didn't try to retain her and directly agreed to the breakup.

Taylor's straightforwardness made Leonora breathe a sigh of relief internally, but her resentment didn't diminish; she still detested Taylor, still hated him. However, since he had already agreed to part ways, Leonora didn't bother to argue about the grievances she had endured over the past two years.

Besides, what good would speaking out do? Could Taylor possibly feel a shred of sympathy for her? If he had any such sentiments, he wouldn't have gotten her drunk and forced himself on her.

So, no matter how much injustice she felt in her heart, how much anger she harbored, she had no choice but to process and resolve it on her own.

Sitting on the bench and looking up at Taylor for a long while, Leonora stood up expressionlessly: "Alright, then I'll be going."
