A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 6675

"We go back."

Jared's voice was calm, but the decision in it left no room for argument. "We save them."

Asher Cindrell froze.

"Back? Mr. Chance, the Southern Wasteland Demon Marches are tens of thousands of miles from here. Even at full speed, the trip would take days. By the time we arrived, the whole region might already be wiped out."

"We are not flying there."

Jared lifted his hand.

Light flashed.

A small black tower appeared in his palm.

The Demon-Quelling Tower.

It was pitch-black from top to bottom, and dense ancient runes covered its surface. Silver light flowed slowly through every mark.

The tower was no bigger than his hand, yet the aura inside it felt bottomless, as if endless space and time were locked within.

Master Veridian's eyes widened.

"This... this is the Demon-Quelling Tower? Mr. Chance, you actually have something like this?"

Jared nodded.

"The Demon-Quelling Tower can perform spatial transfer. As long as I have the coordinates, I can cross space."

He looked at the tower in his palm and continued, "I have not fully mastered it yet, but within the same world, I can still manage. I have been to Inferno Devil Ridge, so its spatial mark is already inside the tower. We can return there directly."

Asher's pupils shrank.

Space-time transfer.

That was far beyond what Golden Immortal cultivators should be able to understand.

Only experts above the Grand Zenith Immortal realm had the right to touch the laws of space and time.

Yet Jared, a Golden Immortal Level One cultivator, could do it through one artifact.

But Asher had no time to question it.

He had no time to be shocked.

"Mr. Chance, you mean... you can take us straight back to Inferno Devil Ridge?"

His voice trembled with excitement.

"Yes."

Jared nodded. "And I can bring everyone from Inferno Devil Ridge here."

He turned and looked at the massive void rift.

"The space around the entrance to the Emperorfall Expanse is relatively stable. If I bring the people of Inferno Devil Ridge here, the hunters will not dare chase them inside. Anyone below Golden Immortal Level Six who enters the Emperorfall Expanse is basically throwing their life away. Most of the hunters are below Level Six. Once the demonic cultivators reach this place, they will be safe for now."

"What about Lord Morgrave and the others?" Gwendolyn asked. "Shadowfell City is under siege too. And there are demonic cultivators in other cities across the Southern Wasteland."

"One group at a time."

Jared's voice stayed steady. "The tower's transfer ability is powerful, but each jump can only carry so many people. I will go to Inferno Devil Ridge first and bring Ridge Lord Emberfall and his people here. Then I will go to Shadowfell City for Caiden, and after that, I will collect the demonic cultivators from the other cities and settlements."

He drew a breath.

Chaotic force poured from his body into the Demon-Quelling Tower.

Light awakened across the black tower as its silver runes began streaming over the surface, sending violent spatial ripples into the air.

The air around them twisted. Ripples spread outward like disturbed water, humming softly.

"Stand close."

Gwendolyn, Master Veridian, the young acolyte, and Asher immediately gathered around him.

Jared closed his eyes.

His spirit sense entered the Demon-Quelling Tower and searched for the spatial mark he had left behind.

Inferno Devil Ridge.

Its aura remained inside the tower.

"Go."

Gray chaotic force fused with the tower's silver light.

A beam shot into the sky from the tower's tip and swallowed all of them.

Space twisted violently around them, like a shattered mirror folding in on itself. Light and shadow overlapped until the entire world blurred.

The next instant, the light vanished.

Jared and the others disappeared with it.

The ice field became empty again.

Only the enormous void rift remained suspended in the sky, rumbling in the silence.

...

Inferno Devil Ridge.

The square before the main hall was wrapped in killing tension.

The mountain gate had been sealed. The protective array was fully activated. A dark-red barrier covered the mountain range like an overturned bowl.

Dense flame runes moved across the barrier, releasing waves of scorching heat.

Even then, hunters still prowled outside the gate.

Dozens of cultivators in different robes had gathered there. Some carried golden celestial light. Some were human wanderers. Some wore beast hides and rode demon beast mounts.
