A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 6724

The moment Jared finished speaking, he launched himself forward.

Chaotic force that had been lying dormant inside him erupted awake.

Gray radiance broke through the restraint of his meridians and poured from every pore, wrapping his broad gray robe in restless light.

The rushing pressure hit the surrounding wind hard enough to interrupt it. Fabric snapped violently around him as an ancient, heavy aura spread outward.

Hum—

The Dragonslayer Sword drew itself.

A clear, domineering dragon cry rang across the valley. The sword's resonance shook the void and raised visible ripples through the air.

Dense violet sword light climbed over the black blade, intertwined with threads of gray chaotic radiance.

Two forces that should have opposed one another fused perfectly.

Together they formed a heavy gray-violet arc carrying a destruction so complete it seemed to chill the bones.

Where that light passed, the void collapsed inch by inch. Fine spatial fractures spread away from the blade, each one filled with the law resonance of chaos returning all things to nothingness.

Gwendolyn moved beside Jared.

Her pale fingers formed a rapid sequence of ancient ice seals.

They belonged to the core inheritance of the Ice Goddess bloodline, handed down for a hundred thousand years. With every change of her hands, extreme cold in the surrounding world rushed toward her. The technique did not draw only on the power inside Gwendolyn; it pulled chill from the environment itself and gathered it around her body.

Invisible chill poured from the rock beneath the valley, the violent currents high above, and even the cracks between layers of space. It wound around her forearms.

Crack. Crack.

Moisture crystallized instantly.

Fine six-sided flakes appeared throughout the air, suspended for a moment before drifting downward.

They refracted the light into long ice-blue ribbons that wrapped around Gwendolyn's wrists and arms. Delicate Ice Goddess sigils flowed across their surface.

Every sigil pulled on the world's laws of extreme cold. The chill bit through flesh and bone, freezing even the moving wind into sharp icicles hanging in midair.

A short distance away, surprise flashed through Violet's crystalline eyes.

She had already made her decision.

Violet had been preparing to burn through the last of her law resonance and face Aureon's thirteenth death head-on. She had already drawn up her remaining immortal essence and suppressed the radiance around herself, prepared to trade injury for injury and use the last of her strength simply to keep the Grand Zenith Immortal occupied.

Jared and Gwendolyn's sudden attack broke that plan open.

Their powers were completely different, yet both were extraordinarily pure.

Violet immediately suppressed the restless immortal power inside her, pivoted lightly, and yielded the main line of attack.

Her purple robes turned with her as one hand settled on the Violet Abyss Immortal Sword. She lowered the tip toward the ground and began gathering strength instead of spending it.

The opening she left was deliberate.

It gave Jared and Gwendolyn room to enter while keeping Violet ready to strike the instant either of them created a weakness.

"Two Golden Immortal insects," Aureon sneered from above. "Weak cultivation, shallow foundations, and you still dare interfere in a battle at this level? You're begging to die."

His gilded robe moved without wind.

Golden light erupted around him in a vast flood. The divine pressure of a Grand Zenith Immortal crashed down across the valley like a collapsing mountain range.

His fingers closed around the Celestial Emperor's Sovereign Blade.

The ancient Golden Crow divinity inside the weapon awakened.

Countless golden sigils ignited one after another. The radiance along the blade compressed until it became a horizontal wave so thin it looked like a cicada's wing and so fast it seemed to arrive with thunder.

There was no complicated technique in the strike.

It was pure origin divine power at the Grand Zenith Immortal level, used to crush everything beneath it.

The sword wave ripped through the sky with an ear-piercing shriek. It was narrow and almost deceptively simple, but the compressed origin power inside it was far more dangerous than the sprawling attacks Aureon had used earlier.

The cliffs on both sides of Black Abyss Valley cracked under the sound alone. Stone fell in sheets, only to be ground into powder by the divine pressure before it reached the ground.

The attack had not yet reached Jared and Gwendolyn when its heat enveloped them.

Their hair whipped backward. Their skin burned with the sensation of countless needles.

"Move!"
