When Joseph arrived at the hospital, he learned that someone had already examined Frank in the middle of the night.

Mason had brought in specialists from outside the hospital to give him a thorough examination and even administered acupuncture.

Joseph was secretly surprised. He examined Frank himself and concluded from the needle placements that acupuncture had been intended to stimulate the nervous system, including the nerves in his arms.

Around 9:00 am, Frank’s wife and children were successfully transferred back to the Hospital. After a checkup, Joseph realized they were in critical condition. If they had arrived any later, they might have suffered early brain atrophy that would have led to severe cognitive impairment.

Joseph had Paige cover for him before speaking with Frank. He informed Frank that his wife and children were in critical condition at the hospital, and he made sure they pulled through safely. In return, he wanted Frank to provide him with intel of equal value.

After striking a deal, Joseph was given an address-one of Frank’s secret properties. What he didn’t expect was that the house was located near Brooke’s school.

Joseph memorized the address before destroying the note. When Paige knocked on the door, signaling that someone was coming, he returned Frank to his previous condition.

Mason came in looking for Joseph and said, “The higher-ups are pressuring me, so I have no choice but to do as they say.

“From now on, you and another specialist will have to treat Frank together. You can’t treat him on your own anymore.”

Joseph glanced at the specialist, Theodore Judd, recognizing him as the newly appointed associate director of the Traditional

Medicine Center.

Back then, Theodore had been the director of the internal medicine department at Croma Hospital. He was well-versed in modern and traditional medicine and was the same age as Joseph. At just 40, he was already at the peak of his career.
