Joseph watched silently. It was rare to see Cora cry; she hadn’t even cried that much during childbirth.

Cora shook her head. “That’s nonsense. Natalie and the others are your children. They have nothing to do with the Zahns. As for the Lowell family’s fortune, I earned it through my own hard work. No one handed it to me.”

Cora instantly wiped away her tears, regaining her usual pride. “Don’t even think about getting a divorce. I won’t give my money to you, nor will I give it to anyone else.”

Joseph laughed coldly. “I know I’m just a worthless nobody. The only place you get to throw your weight around is in front of me.”

He sneered. “Once you walk out of here, you’ll obediently hand over that money to the Zahns. And ten billion won’t even be enough. They’ll definitely ask for more.”

“You…” Cora frowned. She really had intended to pay. The Zahn family still held enormous influence over many of the Lowell family’s business partners. If those relationships collapsed, the Lowell family’s losses would be far greater than ten billion.
