Joseph continued, “You still haven’t answered my question. How many children do you have out there? You have three daughters with Cora and eight other children with Tessa. That’s already enough to form a soccer team/”

“What’s that got to do with you? Once I’m discharged from the hospital, you’ll find out what you need to know. For now, this is my private business.”

Skylar had no intention of telling Joseph who his lovers were. He was afraid Joseph would track them down and seduce them.

After all, Joseph managed to win Yara over and make her fall for him. That proved he was really good at charming

women.

Joseph shot back. “Oh, Skylar. You’re such a smart guy. How could you not get it this time? You slept with Cora and got Joseph to raise your three daughters. You really think he wouldn’t hate you for that?

“Now that your lover has come to the hospital to see you, do you really think Joseph wouldn’t find out about that? And once he does, what do you think he’ll do to her and your children?

“This isn’t the first time Tessa has come to the hospital, and who knows? She may have already spoken to someone else. Do you really think your family and the medical sect would go as easy on you as I did?”

Skylar fell silent, feeling the heavy threat hanging over him. Joseph probably wanted him dead more than anyone else.

Skylar said, “You can’t tell Joseph. Otherwise, he’ll go after Tessa and my children.”

“Of course. I’m not going to tell him. But do you have any other children? This is about handing out the money, so

I need to know what’s going on. And you shouldn’t keep any secrets from me,” Joseph said.

“I have another four children living in Sunnybrook Estates. Tell them not to come to the hospital. Then get someone to keep an eye on them discreetly. Don’t let Joseph hurt them.”

Skylar couldn’t leave the hospital just yet, and Joseph was right. If his lovers didn’t hear from him for far too long, they would start asking around and eventually find their way to the hospital.
