Joseph invited Cora out to dinner as Henry, and she agreed. He also noticed that she had a new bodyguard and driver. They were from the York family.

Cora looked around and realized the only people she could trust were those who were related to her, like the Lowells and the Yorks. Everyone else was a stranger to her. Even the managers she had brought in could be

connected to the Zahns or Dixons.

Cora gave Joseph a bottle of imported wine as a present, congratulating him on his marriage.

“Oh, Ms. Lowell. We’re supposed to be celebrating, but if I told you why I’m really here, you’d be really pissed.”

Joseph smiled. He could tell Cora was in a good mood, so he didn’t want to ruin the pleasant atmosphere.

It made sense that she was happy too. After all, he had helped her get rid of Winona and even had her donate a large sum of money to the charity fund. She was also effectively in control of how the fund was used.

Cora didn’t think Joseph had helped her because she slept with him and begged him for help. To her, it was what he was supposed to do. As her husband, he was supposed to protect her.

“Did you dig up one of my scandals again? Why are you always digging up my dirty laundry? We’re business partners. You’re not supposed to sabotage me!”

Cora scowled. Joseph was always waiting for her to admit to having an affair so he could file for a divorce.

And Henry was always digging up her scandals. He was clearly up to no good.

Joseph replied, “You’ve got me all wrong. The truth is, I’m helping you take care of a few loose ends. Look at what I’ve done for you lately.

“I only had to use Skylar’s blood for a DNA test, and it gave you everything you needed to shut those rumors

down.

“What I’m about to tell you is far more useful. But if you don’t want me bringing it up, I won’t say a word.” Joseph let out a chuckle.

“Wait! I hate it when people leave me hanging! Go on. Tell me. Let’s see what else you’ve dug up on me!” Cora

said.

Joseph pulled out a photo, slid it across the table to Cora, and stared at her, saying, “If Dr. Hart sees this, what do you think he’ll say when you tell him you never knew Skylar? That wouldn’t hold up.”

It was a photo of Cora and Skylar together. She looked young and innocent back then. Anyone could tell that she was a breathtaking beauty.

The only thing was that Cora’s chest wasn’t as full as it was now. After all, she had a more youthful figure back

then.

Skylar was young too, with a handsome, boyish look.

Joseph explained, “This guy was your senior back then. However, he wasn’t known as Skylar Zahn.

“He went by his mother’s last name instead, and his name was Hubert Yale. Surely you remember this guy.”
