Sierra nodded, not understanding why Madison was asking.

Madison smirked knowingly and lowered her voice like she was sharing a secret. "Didn't expect Mr. Gray to be this strategic—using this method to stake his claim."

Sierra frowned in confusion. "What do you mean? What's going on in that head of yours?"

Seeing how clueless she was, Madison dropped her smile, and her eyes were filled with resignation.

Forget it. As long as she knew Theo's intentions, there was no need to spell it out. It was better to let things develop naturally between them.

"I just think the way Mr. Gray looks at us differs. When he looks at you, it's soft as water; when he looks at me, it's cold as ice." Madison shifted the topic and complained jokingly. "Did he secretly study mask-changing techniques?"

Amused by the description, Sierra nearly choked on her milk. "I don't think so. You're overthinking it."

Rolling her eyes, Madison stuffed the last doughnut into her mouth and pulled out her compact to touch up on her makeup. "I'm not overthinking. You're just blinded by love, so you can't see how indifferent he is to everyone else."

Sierra sighed. "I already said we…"

"Have no feelings for each other, and it's just a marriage of convenience?" Madison interrupted, snapping her powder case shut and finishing her sentence for Sierra. Then, she added, "That's what you think. But what about Mr. Gray? I wouldn't be so sure."

She'd already said what needed to be said. Seeing that Sierra was still brushing it off, Madison decided to drop it.

By the time they got to the car, Theo and Adrian were in the middle of a conversation. The moment they heard footsteps, Adrian quickly stopped talking and attentively opened the car door. "Ms. Lloyd, Mrs. Gray."

Madison glanced at him curiously. Then, she casually changed direction and headed for the front passenger seat. "Mr. Gray and Sierra can sit at the back. I'll take the front."

Since she had already gotten in, Theo simply nodded and went to the back seat.

Sierra shot Madison a look of playful reproach but didn't dare turn to glance at Theo.

When they arrived at the school grounds, Sierra had just opened the car door when she heard Theo's voice beside her. "I'll pick you up this afternoon."

She had a pretty good idea of Cayden's feelings for Sierra. Unfortunately… he was too late.

"I had some free time, so I thought I'd drop by and see how Sierra is doing," Cayden said with his eyes fixed on Sierra at the piano, filled with admiration.

Inside the room, sunlight spilled onto Sierra's fair face, making her delicate features glow. Her hair swayed gently as she played, her entire presence shining.

Cayden's fingers tapped along with the rhythm as he smiled softly. His entranced expression was like a knife to Felicia's heart.

She stood frozen and clenched her fists tightly. Only after half a minute did she force herself to move forward again.

"Cayden, what a coincidence running into you here," she mentioned with a bright but stiff smile.

Madison scoffed from the side, completely unbothered as she called her out, "It's not a coincidence. It's more like you're shadowing us."
