Janice looked impatient and was just about to mock Sierra for pretending to be clueless. However, when she lifted her head and saw Sierra's genuine confusion, she swallowed her words, pouted, and pulled out her phone. "Here, see for yourself."
Sierra glanced at the screen and saw a post on the school forum titled "Queen of the Keys Kept as a Mistress". Attached was a photo of her stepping out of Theo's car.
Judging by the angle, it was clearly a candid shot.
"Have you gotten yourself a sugar daddy?" Janice asked curiously.
Sierra shot her an annoyed glare and replied coldly, "No. And if I find out who spread this nonsense…"
Watching Sierra's retreating figure, Janice glanced at the photo again with suspicion. "Could it be that little snake?"
Sierra walked into the piano room under her classmates' judgmental and mocking stares. Taking out her phone, she pulled up the forum post and fell into deep thought.
The photo was crystal clear, with a circle neatly drawn around her figure. The malicious tone of the post made it obvious—the person who posted it was targeting her specifically.
"This was taken at the school gate… and they recognize me. That means it has to be someone from the school.
"There aren't many people I know here. And the only ones I've had conflicts with…"
Two faces flashed through her mind—Felicia and Janice.
However, based on Janice's reaction just now, it probably wasn't her. Besides, she wasn't exactly gifted with words.
Which meant… It was Felicia.
She was a wolf in sheep's clothing, and her smiling face hid a dagger.
A flicker of anger flashed in Sierra's eyes before she coldly put away her phone and calmly began her practice.
It was just a rumor. She wasn't going to let baseless gossip distract her from the competition.
Yet, while she remained composed, the rest of the school was the opposite. Finally, they had something juicy to gossip about, and the more they discussed, the more exaggerated the story became.
Staring at the fragments scattered across the desk, she finally felt a bit relieved. Then, a glint of malice flickered in her eyes as a new idea took shape. Glancing at her broken phone, she turned on her laptop instead.
Her fingers flew over the keyboard, typing out a long post before hitting send with a twisted grin.
"Sierra, I won't let you steal the spotlight this time. The title of 'Queen of the Keys' belongs to someone else now."
Meanwhile, completely unaware that someone had set their sights on her again, Sierra was sitting in a car with Theo, heading to the Gray Manor.
"Why did Grandpa—no, Edward call us back this time?"
She always blushed when addressing family members.
Amusement flashed in Theo's eyes. For once, he wasn't working during the car ride. Instead, he held her hand and replied, "Benson's wedding is coming up. Dad wants us to try on outfits—something festive."
Benson was Edward's only grandson. No matter how reckless he had been, Edward wouldn't turn a blind eye to his marriage, not when Sophie was carrying the family's first great-grandchild.
