She greeted me respectfully before smiling.

“What are you doing here?”

“When my father returned home this morning, he told us that Alpha Alexander was coming to the eastern border today.”

“And I don’t know why, but I had a feeling you would be coming with him.”

“So you came out here to check?”

“Something like that.”

Then her expression softened.

“I wanted to see you.”

Andrea looked at me sincerely.

“I wanted to thank you for my father’s release.”

I immediately shook my head.

“Andrea, you don’t have to thank me. I didn’t do anything.”

But she didn’t look convinced.

“My father came home because of you.”

“No,” I corrected gently. “Your father came home because there was no concrete evidence against him. Alpha Alexander made the decision because it was the fair thing to do.”

Andrea listened, but her expression didn’t change.

“I know what you are saying, Luna. But before that, I was afraid.”

Her voice became quieter..

“I thought he would just remain there because you suspected him. I thought no one would care enough to understand the difference between suspicion and proof.”

She hesitated for a moment before removing it.

Then she held it out to me.

“It’s not much.”

I looked at the bracelet, then back at her.

“You don’t have to give me anything.”
