May and Fannie walked right up to Natalie, and May feigned surprise before letting out a cold, sarcastic snort.
"Well, well, if it isn't the jewel of our store. No wonder your sales are so good. So this is your secret weapon."
She gestured pointedly at West, a mocking smirk on her face.
Natalie didn't want to start trouble. She ignored May, took Janina and West by the arm, and tried to walk away.
But May and Fannie weren't about to let her go.
They quickly stepped in front of Natalie, but their eyes were fixed on West.
Wow, he's handsome. And such a handsome man was interested in a bitch like Natalie.
Instantly, any admiration May felt for West vanished.
"What are you so flustered about? Afraid I'll say something I shouldn't? Is this your new boyfriend? Not bad-looking, but…"
May glanced at the upscale complex behind Natalie and sneered.
"So you've found yourself a rich man. Does your boyfriend know what a tramp you are?"
West finally understood what was happening. He opened his mouth to argue, but before he could say a word, he felt a cold whoosh of air beside him.
Crack!
A sharp, clear slap echoed through the air. May and Fannie froze in shock.
May's head was turned to the side, her eyes wide with disbelief.
Janina quickly raised her hand again and slapped May's other cheek just as hard.
She had seen Natalie hesitating, and West was still processing the insults, seemingly not fully grasping the situation.
Janina couldn't take it anymore and had decided to strike first.
Besides, there were three of them. They could win a fight if it came to it.
The women's words were disgusting. She couldn't imagine what Natalie had to endure at work every day.
