A wicked smile played on the man's lips. He wiped the blood from his dagger on his robe, then propped one hand on the wall and placed the other on his hip.
His gaze fell on Natalie with amusement. "I'm going to do whatever I want. What are you going to do about it?"
Natalie quickly calmed herself, her fingers finally finding the knot in the rope.
As she stalled for time, she used her body to hide her efforts to untie herself.
"You... you want money, right? I have cash in my purse. It's all yours!"
If a fight broke out, she thought, the two of them could team up. At least their chances would be better.
Natalie then felt her phone in her pocket and tried to call the police.
But the man saw her move and sneered.
"Trying to call for help? You won't make it out of here alive. Only good girls get to live, you know."
Natalie's hand froze on the phone, a cold sweat breaking out on her back. She decided to appeal to his emotions.
"I'm just a nail technician. Please let me go. I'm broke, I have nothing. You're so young. If you commit a crime, your whole life will be ruined."
After she spoke, the man actually praised her. "It seems you're not just beautiful, but kind-hearted too."
He licked his lips, his eyes scanning her body up and down.
Natalie clutched a small utility knife from her kit. If this man tried anything, she would stab him.
She remembered reading an article once about a man's weakest point...
Her eyes darted toward his groin. That's where she'd strike. Escape first, think later.
Natalie had already mentally prepared her attack, planning how to take him down in a single move.
Seeing her standing there in a daze, the man tossed his dagger aside. He didn't need a weapon for a woman; he could overpower her with his bare hands.
