She had always known that no matter how big a mistake she made, Julius would forgive her.

Just then, the nanny, having just put the baby to sleep, came out of the nursery. She froze for a second when she saw Julius in the living room. Before the nanny could react, Yvonne came out and immediately sent her away.

"We're low on groceries. Go out and buy some more. And get some blueberries and grapes."

The nanny, taking the hint, nodded and left.

After the nanny was gone, Yvonne found Julius standing by the window, staring outside. He stood there, motionless, his shoulders slightly slumped. He looked preoccupied, gazing blankly out the window. It had only been a few days, but the light in his eyes seemed to have vanished.

Feeling footsteps approach, Julius turned around, his gaze falling coldly on Yvonne. His eyes held an indescribable gloom and menace.

"Julius—" Yvonne called out softly.

Julius didn't answer, continuing to stare at her with a cold, simmering rage.

A moment later, his icy voice cut through the air.

"Yvonne, you repeatedly harmed Janina and my children. What right do you have to live in an Aurelius family home? You drove a wedge between me and Janina, shattering our marriage. How can you enjoy your life, built on our pain?"

Yvonne's forehead split open instantly. Excruciating pain shot through her. Blood trickled down her face and her head swam, but before she could even process it, Julius yanked her up as if she were a chick. His face was a mask of disgust.

Yvonne was completely blindsided. It all happened too fast. For a moment, her mind went blank, unable to believe what was happening. Only when the sharp pain registered did she realize this was no illusion. Julius was really hurting her.

While Yvonne was still in disbelief, Julius's furious roar filled her ears. "You approached me with a hidden agenda from the start! You just wanted me as your permanent meal ticket! I funded your life abroad, gave you the best of everything, and you used my money to support countless men over there!"

"You've had four abortions, yet you played the innocent with me! You claimed you were forced by an abusive husband, that you had no choice but to marry him and get pregnant.
