Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 78

"Nina, this is from me. Hope you like it. And remember, I'm your fourth brother, Nolan," he said cheerfully, handing her a gift of his own—a necklace.

He was also carrying a file folder, which Janina assumed was some kind of work document.

"Thank you, Nolan," Janina said.

Her third and fourth brothers had perfectly inherited the best features of their parents; they were tall, handsome, and well-built. All four brothers were tall, a trait they got from their father.

Sutton, who had been slicing beef, turned his head mechanically, the knife still in his hand. He gave an awkward smile.

"Ah, Nina, I'm sorry. I… I was in such a hurry to get back and see you that I didn't buy you a gift. I'll make it up to you tomorrow, okay?"

"It's okay, Brother Sutton. You don't have to buy me anything." Janina didn't really care about the gifts; the thought was what counted.

The ever-stoic Easton remained silent. He had given his sister all his money today and hadn't even thought about buying her a present. He mentally kicked himself. He should have bought her a gift in advance.

This was their first time meeting each other. Though their faces were unfamiliar, their hearts felt a connection. Perhaps this was the power of blood ties.

Janina was moved by the simple, kind-hearted nature of this family. She was beginning to understand that true kinship was about love, not wealth.

"We can't have our sister doing chores. Sisters are meant to be spoiled."

Just as Nolan finished speaking, a female voice called from outside, preceding her entrance. "I'll be sure to remember that, Brother Nolan. Don't you dare ask me to do any work from now on!"

Janina looked toward the voice and saw a young woman with her hair pulled back and light makeup walk through the main door. She was wearing a gray casual jacket and wide-leg pants.

It was the sixth sister, Natalie Holt.

Natalie's eyes immediately landed on the woman at the center of the group. Her gaze held no warmth, only a cool detachment as she spoke a single word: "Sister."
