The old man first examined Grace's leg, asking if she had any feeling, then took out the silver needles and began the acupuncture treatment.

"Sir, are you treating my mother now?"

Seeing the old man inserting needles into his mother's leg was unsettling, and Easton still found it hard to believe he could actually cure her.

After all, the doctors had declared it a lost cause. Could this man's medical skills truly surpass those of the hospital's top specialists?

The old man didn't look up, merely grumbling, "Your father is blind, and so are you."

Easton fell silent. "Fine, I'll shut up."

He then heard the old man muttering to himself, "The nerve tissues are all intact. The circulation and energy flow are blocked in this area. Over time, it's caused some of the muscle to atrophy or stiffen."

After finishing the treatment, the old man stood up and looked at Janina with an air of calm confidence.

"There. With daily acupuncture and some herbal remedies, she'll be able to stand within three months."

Janina, Easton, Ethan, and Grace were overwhelmed with disbelief and joy.

Grace had resigned herself to a lifetime in a wheelchair. She never imagined a miracle like this could happen. Tears streamed down her face.

"If I can really stand again, I will be forever grateful to you, sir," Grace sobbed, wiping her eyes.

The old man's expression remained neutral. As far as he was concerned, as long as they didn't kick him out and kept feeding him, that was enough.

"Alright, alright, quiet down. Don't distract me from my work," the old man said, waving his hand impatiently as his focus shifted to Ethan.

Any further words of gratitude died in their throats. This old man certainly had a temper.

The old man took a silver needle and inserted it into a pressure point near Ethan's eye.

Hearing her daughter's story, Grace began to cry again. Though she had never met Janina's ex-husband, the fact that her daughter was divorcing him even while pregnant spoke volumes about how poorly he must have treated her.

All Grace wanted was for her daughter to be happy, and she unconditionally supported her decision.

Her parents and brother all agreed: whether Janina kept the babies or not, they would support her choice without interference.

Whatever the consequences, her parents and brothers would be her rock.

At eight o'clock that night, Janina booked a hotel room for the old man across the street. She asked her brother to take him there, but the old man staunchly refused, insisting that someone at the hotel was trying to harm him.

After a standoff, Janina reluctantly let him stay at the apartment.

The living room was spacious enough. The old man, not used to sleeping near others, claimed the sofa. But moments after lying down, he complained it was too small and uncomfortable. In the end, he simply laid his bedding on the floor and slept there.
