As Hughes and Penny arrived down the stairs, they were greeted by Sofie who was standing next to Darlington.

"Where have you been Penny, we’ve been waiting for you," Sofie said.

"I... I overslept, I’m so sorry." Penny said.

"It’s okay. I hope they’re fine?" Darlington asked and Penny shook her head with a smile.

"Where is Landon?" Sofie asked looking around and just then, Osvaldo walked down the stairs quietly. His disguise was back on his face.

"Hubby." Sofie rushed in to hug him, even though he didn’t hug her back. Osvaldo just stood there and let her finish.

"You look as handsome as always hubby. Did you rest well? I wanted to come to you, but Hughes said you were resting." Sofie said.

"Hubby, I have a few pictures of what our wedding would look like. I’ll show you once we’re done." Sofie said leading him to where the others stayed.

Someone in the lounge did not like what was happening. The name hubby has never irritated Penny more than it did now.

She tried so hard to mask her insecurities and jealousy but she couldn’t. Not when another woman was hovering around her Osvaldo. He was hers alone.

"Sofie I get you’re eager to marry Landon, but he’s mine for the next few hours. After protecting me, you can do whatever." Penny said those words bitterly.

"You’re right. He’ll protect us both." Sofie smiled.

"Alright, since everyone’s here, let’s go." Came Darlingtons words and they all walked out of the building.

When they got into the car, Sofie hurriedly sat next to Osvaldo, who was seated opposite Penny.

"Your father and uncle said they’d be here shortly. I don’t know why they’re not here yet." Darlington said to Penny going through his cellphone.

He’s been trying to call Xavier for a couple of minutes now, but he couldn’t reach him.

"Maybe you should call them or send them a text about our location." Hughes suggested to him.

Penny finally looked up to see those pair of blue eyes staring back at her. They both knew what this meant. If her father and uncle were coming over, it’s because of Sofie’s marriage proposal. This was what she was afraid of.
