GABRIELLE’S POV
MONTHS LATER
“Yes,” I moaned, arching back against him.“More, Damon.”
He pushed my head down into the car seat and kept thrusting into me from behind, harder now.
I screamed until my throat felt sore.
The car stopped and a knock came on the partition.
I stiffened and tried to move my body.
Damon held me in place with one hand and moved the other down to rub my clit. “The car is soundproof. Scream louder for me, wife.”
Oh, fuck!
I gladly obeyed.
And he kept up his pace until I came, screaming his name at the top of my lungs.
When we finally finished and fixed our clothes, I sat up and realized the car had stopped in front of an unfamiliar building.
Damon stepped out of the limo and opened my door for me. “My lady.”
The irony of him calling me that after the way he had just fucked me almost made me laugh.
My face flushed as I took his hands and came out from the car.
He stepped behind me and placed his hands over my eyes.
I gasped in surprise. “Where are you taking me, Damon?”
He started leading me forward. “Patience, wife. We’re almost there.”
But I was too impatient.
“What’s the surprise?” I asked. “Give me a hint. Is it a car?”
He laughed under his breath but he didn’t respond.
After a while, we stopped.
I heard lowered voices around me.
“Damon?”
He finally moved his hands from my eyes. “I hope you like it.”
I blinked a few times, my eyes adjusting to the light.
A private plane was in front of us.
I stared at it for a few seconds, trying to process what was in front of me.
My brows drew together. “Damon…”
He stood beside me, watching my reaction closely. “What?”
“It’s a private jet,” I said. “Why did you bring me here?”
A quiet sound left his chest, almost like he was holding back a laugh. “Just walk with me.”
I followed him up the steps, still confused, my hand gripping his sleeve.
The inside of the plane caught me off guard. Everything looked sleek, expensive, and designed exactly to my taste.
I turned to him. “This is new.”
“It is,” he said. “It is yours.”
I blinked. “Mine?”
He nodded once.
I let out a small laugh because I genuinely thought he was joking. “Damon, no.”
He didn’t smile.
My laugh faded. “You bought me a jet?”
He shook his head. “I didn’t buy you a jet.”
I exhaled in relief, pointing around us. “Good, because that would be insane.”
He smiled, amused. “I bought you an airline. You own a luxury aviation company now. Private jet sales, acquisitions, charters. It’s all yours.”
I went still, staring at him and trying to understand if I had heard him correctly.
“I own what?”
He nodded, calm as if he had just said something ordinary. “You heard me.”
My mouth opened, then closed briefly before I spoke. “Damon, that is not something people just say.”
“I know,” he replied. “You mentioned wanting to get into the business before Aiden and Antonio happened months ago.”
I couldn’t respond, still in shock.
I remembered I had mentioned it before, but it was only once and I barely even remembered that conversation.
It was something I wanted and was planning to achieve in a few years time.
Damon paid attention to everything.
“You took me seriously,” I murmured.
“I'm always serious about you,” he said.
My throat tightened. “Damon, I only talked about it because it felt impossible. I never expected you to actually—”
He stepped closer and held my chin up. “You deserve this, Gabrielle. I wouldn’t do this unless I was sure you could handle it.”
My breath caught.
“I wanted to give you something that would expand the empire you’re building for yourself,” he said. “Not something anyone can buy from a store.”
“Oh my god,” I whispered, still reeling from shock. “I feel like I can’t thank you enough. This is huge, Damon.”
His smile didn’t move. “Do you like it?”
I swallowed hard. “Like it? Damon, I love it. This is… this feels… I don’t even know how to react or what to say.”
My mind was still struggling to catch up.
It wasn’t even about the money anymore.
“It’s fine,” he said, a smile on his lips. “You’ll get through the shock soon.”
I looked away from him and back at the plane.
